How many lowryder 2's should I Grow in my cabinet

I have a dresser sized cabinet about 17"X 30"X 48" tall which is well ventilated to keep temps in the low 80's using 150 watt HPS up top and a 24 inch T5 X 4 mounted vertically in each corner for side/supplemental lighting. My first 2 single plant grows have yielded almost an ounce each time and I had some problems with each grow that are now corrected.I now feel that the grow space is perfected to deliver good light at stable temps.

I am currently germinating 12 Lowryder 2 seeds now in jiffy pellets that are doing well. They will soon all be moved to a shared 4 gallon planter filled with Fox Farm Ocean soil cut with pearlite.

SOOOOOOO, I have a small yet well ventilate highly reflective space with 240 watts of lighting (HPS and T5mix) How many female lowryder 2 plants should I attempt to grow in this cabinet? I am thinking 5 at the most which may be able to yield 3.5-4.5 OZ under ideal conditions. What do you all think? is there a Gram per Watt Yield that I should shoot for?

You heard right - one big pot. It's a rubbermaid 3 and 1/2 gallon painted white file tote. The males will be pulled when they show sex at about 17-21 days. It will work as there have been grow journals done on it.

There has got to be some lowryder grower expertise here... Right? I got 10 seedlings in jiffy pellets ready to grow.

Why not keep one male to pollinate the females so you can have the seeds to do it over again and this time ditch all the males? Just a sug. So you wouldnt have to order anymore seeds.

I'm harvesting 7 Lowrider 2's this weekend, average age is 11 to 12 weeks so a couple of weeks longer than quoted when I bought them.
All of your L2's will show sex around 18 days on average.
Judging from the size of mine you will fit 6 or 8 mature females in your space, and 48"s
is plenty of height.
A few tips from my observations with Lowrider 2's.
Don't use 24/0 lighting, 18/6 or 20/4 is good.
Don't use too much nutes, they just don't seem to like them.
I used 40% Good Quality potting mix, 30% Perlite, 25% Worm Castings and
5% organic composted manure and this will give you all the nutes you need.
Good Luck

All good advice. Of the 10 seedlings I hope at least 5 are female. I would not be surprised if it is only three with my luck. So far with my grows I have had only 25% female.

AMAZING!!!! 9 of 10 are females. Holy crap! I think I may have to cull the heard. I think 9 is a bit much for my cabinet. I was thinking of pulling three of them and growing the remaining 6 to harvest. They are growing soo well under 6 - 23 watt CFL's that I am hesitant to add the 150 watt HPS yet. They seem so happy with the CFL's.

Grow em all, stuff em in there, you would be suprised just how dense you can get the plants to grow especially after you add the HPS.

And on that subject, you wont belive the change in growth speed when you switch to the more intense light.

With so many females you should consider polinating one.

That's what I did with my last grow and got enough seeds to last for a while. I saved some Pollen so I may polinate the best looking lady a wee bit. You say grow em all huh? I just think it will get too crowded.

True, I just moved my next crop under the flower light and it still amazes me how much they grow just in that first 24 hours.

Also you don't have to wait so long for veg with plants that small. In fact you DON'T want to wait that long because they'll get too big.

My major concern is with you growing them all in the same pot. It wasn't an issue this time since you only had 1 male but in the future what if you have 50% males and when you go to yank out the roots for the males their roots are entangled in the females' roots.

And forget about male/female. What if one of the females dies for some reason, it's roots are still in the ground and they will start rotting, now your healthy plants die because their roots rot.
