How many of you are going to bitch about Obama care after 2016?

It would be the health care system that had taught me that it's not a big deal and to just wait to see the doctors. 99% of cases involving vomiting and shitting blood are not life threatening with in 24 hours, and would be treated as such!
while i am from the uk we have a similar healthservice to canada

you contact the local GP telling them your either vomiting or shitting blood not only do they advise you to immediately goto hospital but they contact the hospital to make sure you get a bed

your health system has taught you to line as many pockets as possible before you get the care you need

infact i'll take it one further than that this "specialist" of yours upon hearing symptoms on phone should have advised you to goto hospital immediately rather than waiting for a day for you to goto his practice to earn him a penny or 2
Maybe if it was the doctor that answers the phones he would have, as soon as I told him all the details he had me rushed to the hospital to be checked and I was saved. Ambulance picked me up from his office! like I said people vomit and shit blood all the time with out it being life threatening or an "emergency"!

crohn's disease / Ulcerative colitis. 99% of the time they are not emergencies but they will cause you to shit and vomit blood!

:( that makes me sad! I hope your opinion changes soon!
Not as long as the liability exists. Any money I saved belongs to my children. i will not allow the healthcare system to claim it, and I'll back that bet with my life. Call it a protest if you like, but this is madness i will not support, one way or the other. cn

do your children care more about your money than having you about?

A big part of it has to do with value of life. I value mine very much and to me and my family, my life is priceless! Have you asked your kids if they would rather have you or the money? I know I would rather my father spend all his money staying healthy/alive than get an inheritance.

Simple duty. My parents put me through college. cn
But was it at the possible cost of losing their life from not going to the doctors? Heart problems are always treated as an emergency! Also, if it was, would you have still wanted them to pay for college instead of staying alive? I would much rather my father spend all of his money in health care than save it for me, maybe your kids feel the same way! Hell, if my father spent all his money on health care I would spend mine as well! Life is much more important to me than anything tangible or an education.

you appear to have the good grace to be grateful for it tho

im guessing your kids are past college age and im guessing you offered them opportunity?

the biggest legacy you leave them should be the connection with you and if they dont realise that then they shouldnt deserve for you to forgo healthcare so you can pay them off in death

My kids are not yet college age. If they were beyond it I would not feel obligated. I have guilt issues from having lost a career and a marriage (and family) to unchecked clinical depression. cn
