How Many People Need To Believe?

Well, if a critical mass of people needed to believe the world was round before it was,
then is it possible that a real number of people
that have problems accepting the totality of any particular religion today
would need to believe in something as radical as the world being round before it was?

I will let you decide what it is you want to believe in.

My mind crosses a dynamic boundary from knowledge into the realm of belief.
It is in this realm of belief that theories are born.

The earth was always round.... it just took science time to dispel the religious myths, under great duress I might add.

It's not perception equals reality. that's backwards, although falsely empowering, hence seductive.

It reality equals perception. It's just that some ppl are better at it than others. The lower rungs are occupied by religion.

I believe a perception in my brain manifests itself as a series of biochemical reactions that results in a real memory.

I know it is real because I remember it clearly 40 years from now

Thought becomes thing

everyone in the world could believe in angels and they still would not exist. Sounds like you're like most of the old hippies who fried there brains out on acid and now believe all the metaphysical bullshit.

Hmmm.

If this angel method requires a critical mass then Christianity is in trouble.
Since a large percentage have believed that Christ was returning in every generation, but weren't sufficient in mass to initiate it, it would seem that the notable decrease in Christianity and the sudden rise in Atheism in those born after 1977 would lead away from any possibility of such a critical mass being achieved.

So it looks like the belief in angels, Christ, and God have will shortly be insufficient to wish them into existence even if such a thing were possible.

Morgentaler - I agree with you other than "angels, Christ, and God" are exclusive.

I only did acid once, and it was NOTHING like what I saw in the movie.

Maybe it wasn''t acid.
