How many plants can I flower in this?

Alright so I have my seeds germinated and in rockwool almost ready for transplant.

Here is where things are getting tricky, I am looking for the maximum yield I can achieve in this tent (4x4x7) under 2 x 600 watt hps.

Should I go for 9 big plants in 5 gal buckets or should I go for a smaller bucket and more plants with a LST or Scrog? I have never done the LST or Scrog however the LST seems easy.

Think I could get 16 plants LSTing under this? If so would that give me a bigger yield than if I were to just grow 9 normal plants, maybe topping them?

I am just trying to be as efficient as possible without getting way over my head!

Most people LST because of height restrictions and 7' is lots of height. SCROG spreads the plants out flat so you have a small footprint with a flat spread out canopy. If it were me I would go for the 9 big plants in 5 gal buckets. That is my 2 pennies.

I forgot to mention that with 2 600 watt HPS you will have good light penetration but lots of heat. I think heat will be your biggest concern. Plan for that and you are halfway home.

This will be fine, I am growing in my unfinished basement in Canada. I will be drawing the air in the bottom of the tent using a 110 cfm bathroom fan that draws air from upstairs (temp ~20C).

I will also have another pulling air from the in-line cooltubes for the 600 watt hps lights. What cfm should I use to clear the cool tubes? Also should I be pushing and pulling in these cool tubes or is there a better way to ventilate?

Anybody help with my vent question: What cfm should I use to clear the cool tubes? Also should I be pushing and pulling in these cool tubes or is there a better way to ventilate?

Are you also using a carbon scrubber on that line? Something like 300CFM should get it done. If you are using a scrubber it will slow down the CFM rating and you may want to go bigger.

Ya I plan on making one from the DIY section, if it fails I will spring for one.

agree with julian,"winghunter" lol
if it's possible to make is 7longx4high(or lenghten your box & keep the hight, plant would love it)
everytime i see a cooltube i think of a ductfan, seems like the perfect match for eachother.

im sure if you have one of these on each of your 600's + another exaust fan(these can be used just to suck the air right through the tube and come out directing your main exaust fan) sure to get good flow going.
lightes are never overkill until heat is an issue...

Hmm so I need one of those for each cool tube and then I need to buy an additional fan to exit through the exhaust (carbon filter)?

Also that brings me up to 3 fans just for cooling/exhausting, I then prob need another fan to bring air in as well as some oscillating fans?

Am I really going to have to spend money on 5 fans to get proper ventilation?

Also at night which fans should be on/off?

No. Get 1 good blower, like a Vortex or Can Fan. Dasiy chain your 2 cooltubes with the end open, this will be your exhaust. And you can go with a passive intake. Throw 1 oscillating fan in there and you're good.
