how many plants for 1000 wat HPS

how many Plants can i put under a 1000 watt Hps? and what can i expect to yeild if all conditions are reasonable growing super skunk?

and how much will it yeild with others.. any one? any kind

If you reflect right a small grow room could suffice.

i do 12 plants under a 1000 watts hps or mh light. yield is diff 4 everyone and also what kind of plant you are growing adds to the more or less yield. so just have fun with your skunk and enjoy my friend..

also make sure you have everything in a bedroom so that it doesnt get hot and nasty..wood floors are also pimp to keep down bugs and spyder mites..carpet is not good..keeps in bugs and if you drop water on the shitz it molds and brings the bugs in..so good luck....

btw whats a good sight to buy seeds from? i already bought WW from allpotseeds.com im thinking about going with waikiki queen or mary juanita on that site 4 my next grow..check it out tell me if its a good pick..im trying to get the maximum yeild possible..any suggestions? bump

If you dont care about THC content then go with Big Bud. However if you want the best buds with a shitload of THC then you go with Jack Herer or NYC Sour Diesel.

If you dont know what THC then might as well log off.

yea me personally i went wit attitude. picked up narkush, hindu an kush berry. im in da second week of veggin wit a 400 w hps an 200 w of cfls. i want to grow up for 2 months an clone. anyone know how many clones can u get from a mother at one time? i also am using a 1000 w an 400 w for flower. hopin to flower at least 40 plants under those 2 lights? anybody thinks that will b sufficient lite?

Its not as much about the # of plants but more as in the amount of square feet. Try to get 50W per square foot so 20 square feet of grow area for your plants. that mean's you can grow 20 plants per square foot with a 1000W HPS. or even more if your pots and plants are smaller. I would try to have each plant have a square foot for themselves to grow.

Or you can go by lumen's and aim for 5000-10000 per square foot. and HPS having around 150000 lumen's each.

So you should aim for a area 15-20 square feet with up to a maximum of 20 plants.

I have 10 under my 1000W HPS and they are growing just fine and loving the light.
People will tell you they like Blue light and they otherwise they will stretch but if u look at mine they have almost too little stretch.

Other thing you will want to consider with a 1000W is cooling it. It gets quite hot and even tho you might be like that wont be a problem for me my room is like 45F atm. You will be suprised. 1000W gets soo hot that you will definatly not need any kind of heating and that you will definatly need to get some kind of method of venting out the heat.

If you need any tips on how to do that you can always seach on how to make a cool tube. Ill keep an eye out for you thread if you need any more advice.

Like i said its not really about the amount of plants but more about the area that the light is lighting. It also helps to get some kinda reflective meterial and cover the walls. But go by square feet either 40W-50W (What I use) or aim for 10000 lumens per square foot

This is my first grow. So just subscribe to my journal and i guess you will find out. But before setting anything up I read through like 10 ebooks and read this forum religiously. I can say its paying off because the plants are looking excellent

yeah RIU helped me through my first grow... everything was perfect. all u gotta do is play by the rules. and u will have decent bud.. im trying to harvest 1-3 pounds every harvest.. so basically every 3 and a half months.. i know i ask alot of questions but u think it will be possible with a 1000w hps?

most strains are going to drop a pound or less per 1000 watt per cycle @ 9 plants 3.5 foot tall 5x5 area

25 - 30 2 gallon pots or 12 - 16 5 gallon pots

With LST or Scrog it should be reachable.

yea, im on my first grow doin bagseed for practice on supercroppin an clonin, i also have a few kush plants veggin as well. i feel u guys alot. riu has helped me out alot as far as everything. most peeps on here are smarter than the avg person in alot wayz?
