How many plants for most yield?

hey everyone,

I have a 2'x2'x5.5' tent. Want to do a dwc scrog with 5 gallon buckets. How many shold I put in here one or two plants. Worried about reduced yield if I suffocate with to many plants. I plan on vegging for about a month.

If you have the right strain one plant will do,if max yields are a priority and legal numbers aren't an issue I say run SOG

1 plant. Top it once during veg... Veg it to about half the final size you want to end up with.... Then top it again 7 days into flower. You'll get a good sized plant that will fill your room without suffocating.

I suggest adding a trellace net during the first month of flower. That will allow you to grow multiple tops all over the place without them falling all over the place when the bud starts to plump up.

don't underestimate the importance of the net.. if you have a big bush of multiple tops you won't be able to stake them all and you will end up with a bunch of tops hanging down in a big mess, just like the man said. It's such an easy step that will make life so much easier.

seems like you could do two plants multi topped, or 8-10 in small 1 gallon pots for the SOG, no topping, just stakes up the main cola..

I am running 1 DWC 5 gal at the moment in a 2X2X5 tent and I wouldn't want to put another plant in here, there is just not enough room. top it a few times, give it 5-6 weeks of veg and flip it, you will have a monster yield if done correctly.

First off, not all strains respond well to some or all different methods of growing other than a natural bush type of growing. SCROG or SOG or topping or LSTing etc., etc. is not for every strain. With some strains such methods of growing can result in a reduced yield when compared growing a natural bush. If you want to grow SCROG make sure the strain or strains you will grow respond well to it before you give it a go.

Exactly!!

In my experience Sativa and Sativa dominant strains seem to do best topped into a bush. Some Indicas don't like it and produce better left alone. You're gonna have to do some trial and error stuff w/ different strains if you really want to maximize yield

I'm growing some feminized seedsman white widow seeds....post on my shitt and help me out experienced growers...

freebee seed from attitude where i got the seeds from but can u also explain the easiest and cheapest grow equipment and grow tent/box to build/buy and also the correct ways to grow these strains so i don't fuck my first grow up.

I just finished a seedsman white widow grow. Top it during veg, then LST it. Trust me, it will grow explosively. DONT go crazy with the nutes! Feed her like every 2 days, water every day. I was running GO line and it worked just fine. Wicked dank bud too.

If you top it more than once, your going to need stakes, I had some colas sag and wasnt able to get to them very well when I needed to. You learn as you grow bro.

topping during flowering is not really a good idea, get the topping done during veg is the best thing to do.

How's it not a good idea? I've topped during veg and flower.. its nice to top first week of flower to get the new main colas to stretch during the first few weeks of flower... and you won't hermie your plant just by topping in the first week of flower.. that's just like saying you're going to hermie a plant by pruning during flower like lollipopping.. which I don't lollipop UNTIL flower. Never had a hermie.

They both work well.

Perhaps I am just paranoid about hermies because somehow I had my last crop hermie on me. Found out it could have been a possible light leak, but some strains can be pretty delicate.

As knockoff White Widow strains go Seedsman's is a pretty good one. Not the best, but still one of the better ones. But it is also if not the most sativa dominant White Widow knockoff it is one of the top two or three and those sativa genetics will be seen when in flower.

Yeah, it made some really dank bud though. Definitely sativa dominant. It was a slightly lanky plant, but if grown under MH its maintainable with some proper technique and LST.

I wouldnt recommend it for a small grow space imho.

Pic was after 3 weeks of straight DI at end of flowering. The plants had been vegged for 100 days. Long story. Also included a 3 day dark period.
