How many plants reasonable in cab grow?

Hey guys! :-P

I'm trying to put a grow together but its not my own place so I gotta keep it pretty stealth. I wanted to get a 3x3x6 grow tent but I can't really fit it anywhere.

Was thinking about getting a cabinet that locks and lining the inside with mylar then cutting two holes in the back for in and out ducts.

I found a cabinet thats 30" wide x 23" deep x 50" tall. How many plants do you guys think I can grow in that?

I was hoping for 4 plants but I think the 23" depth is a problem. Its also only 50" tall but I read that you can flower early to control how tall the plants get. I'm still not sure how that works though, does it hurt yields?

Was thinking about doing a 400watt MH/HPS grow but not sure if all the ducting and the hood will fit in 30"x23"x50".

If anyone can give me some advice on this I'd really appreciate it. I've never grown before but I'm excited to try :weed:

Anybody think I can fit a 400W reflector with ducting and grow 4 plants in a cabinet thats 30"x23"x50"?

Or is it more like 2 plants and maybe 250W all I can really do with that space?

you can grow a plant 50" tall in that. but it all depends on the strain. get an autoflowering they tend to stay short and bud fast. bud dont have that great of a yeild. is this your first grow?

A 400w system would def. be better than a 250w, but with the size of box your working with Id probably advise going with the 250w system. A 400w system would just probably cause to much heat (unless a good ventilation fan was hooked up) and to keep your plants a good distance from the light to keep your plants from burning you wouldnt be able to let them get very big ( 10" for pots, 22" for reflector size & minimum distance from plants) so that leaves you with around 18" of total plant growth which also means youll have to turn your plants back to flower when their around 12" tall to give them enough room to grow after you cut them back. So Id probably go with 3 maybe 4 plants under a 250w system

Oh damn, forgot about the pots. So its even less space for the plants to grow vertically. Pots have to be 10" or can they be shorter?

I guess 250W or 400W doesn't really make a difference in size cus the reflector and the ducts are still the same size anyway?

Does anyone know the slimmest reflector from top to bottom? I see some are like 10" tall, the smallest one I see is 7" tall. Why do they have to be 7" just to reflect light? The bulbs gotta be just a few inches vertical, I guess the holes for the 6" ducting means they can't be much smaller than 6". Maybe there is a very slim reflector made for 4" ducting?

I just measured the cabinet and its actually only 47" tall inside, and only 22" deep, 30" wide. I'm gonna have to save every inch lol
