How many plants is a medical marijuana patient with a hardship cultivation reg. allowed to grow? Also how much dry usable product can you have at one time? I cant find this anywhere.

There is no set number of plants that can be legally grown, as most of the bill is pretty vague. The way it is worded, you can have up to the number of plants it takes to harvest 10oz every 60 days. It might not be hard to argue with four plants in a Scrog, but a 25 plant Sog might look worse in court, even if it yields less.

what do you mean a medical card wont stop a door from getting kicked in? I thought that if you are a medical marijuana patient registered with the state than there should be no problem. Are you saying if the cops had a tip or suspected someone of growing mj than they wouldn't first check to see if this person that is in question is a registered patient with the state before they obtain a warrant? I would think they would check up on this person before they just kick a door in considering they know that Massachusetts now allows medical mj patients to possess and grow considering they are registered with a cultivation reg. Aside from that, I read that state and city police in MA are currently having " marijuana desensitization training" for their dogs that have been previously trained to alert for mj.

Well it's not just the police you would worry about. It is much easier to steal A good crop than it is to grow one. And I do think as a card holder grower you will be subject to to random inspections. but if I have the right to do defend myself in court, then I trust I have the right to medicate myself. When you ask for permission you become subject to their authority.

I hear they give you a picture id card for the mmj to keep on you and a letter of recommendation to send to the DPH for them to send you your official papers or w/e it is. and they Just starting seeing people for the one in Framingham,ma. Its the only one/ legitimet one in New England right now. So I've read. So its quite a bit of a hike. About 3 hours.

DO NOT SPREAD FALSE INFO. Especially in a new area such as this where folks may have a lot of uncertainty.
In MA with your medical card you have no worries of being prosecuted or even pursued by any authorities; the only ones who could lawfully subject you to anything wrongful would be the feds, but I promise they're not going anywhere in MA. With that said, your personal info and who you tell about your personal activities is your business, and in terms of growing your own MMJ, it should be kept totally confidential.

Cheers guys, thanks for your input. As Im having to work around a full-time office job, I just wondered how this would fit in and whether it would be enough. I think I can work with that :
The ID card is essentially useless, it is NOT issued by the state- The state hasnt gotten their program together to do so. Right now the only thing that you will get that matters is a Letter of rec on tamerproff paper, the doc dea number etc. It actually looks like a prescription paper just an 8x11 size- Also the paper needs to be embossed. My ME letter from my doctor works for me in MA too because it says all the things we need to prove. In ME, they did away with compulsory cards & registrations because of privacy concerns. I'm curious why MA hasn't figured that out yet.
I can't understand why we will have to register with the state. According to HIPPAA, my healthcare info is protected by law. Why should I have to register for everyone to see that I have a debilitating medical condition ? As long as I'm in compliance with all of the laws, I don't get why we all have to register.
Because the state wants your $$$. There's a yearly registration fee when you register with the state. There's also a separate hardship cultivation fee if you want to qualify for a hardship cultivation license.
