How many PPM per day do your plants drink?

I am using DWC and my flowering plants seem to be drinking 100+ppm per day and my veg plants hardly drink anything... maybe 5ppm per day. Is this normal?
How many ppm should my veg plants be drinking per day and how many ppm should my flowering plants be drinking?

i have no idea, i aint never used any of the meters for my DWC grows. just watched the plant and recognize issues or concerns and addressed the immedietly. had quite a few GREAT harvest too.

Yeah this is my first legal grow so I am trying to do everything as controlled as possible, so monitoring leaves, water, temps, humidity is all important and I would like to keep everything as it should be... I just started growing 11/26/10 so I am still very new to this.

I have my my ppm set at 700 for my plants in veg and 1000 for my plants in flower but daily I have to top off my plants in flower but before feeding I check my ppm and it is down to 850. Ill monitor closely and make sure its not an error in my feeding....
