Ultimately when I want a soda, I just use limonene tincture diluted into an equal volume ethanol with a touch of glycerin to make it water soluble. Cyclodextrins are just too much work just to make an oral prep, though the limonene overpowers other flavors so if you arent into citrus flavor right then, it can be off putting. The soda industry uses oil flavorings in soda and makes them suspend in water with brominated vegetable oil or ester of wood rosin, though the former has some controversy regarding safety. I dont think this will work for hash oil extracts, as they are very dense, and this method only works with oils that are lighter than water - if you calculate out the specific gravity of your extract, and it is less dense than water, you could go this route. I've never tried; the health concerns are enough to scare me away from traditional sodas as is, and I've no desire to try that for medication. TLDR; easiest, most convenient way I know for drinks is to make an ethanol tincture and add some glycerin. It will be more dilute than most oral tinctures made for direct consumption, but you can make it so you only need add a 1/4 of a fluid oz to your drink, something easily carried about in little 2 dram vials to be discretely added to your drink at restaurants, family reunions etc.
