how many times can you take a clone of a clone of a clone?

probably on the 4th generation of clones now..how many can you take before they start acting weird?

Should you keep a mother from seed or keep a 2nd generation clone as a mom or just keep cloning clones with no (mom) plant.

Seems like a clone of a clone gets stronger as it goes down the line. IDK what u think?

In my opinion, clone as many times as you want. I am on generation 12 of Aurora Indica, and it seems to be getting better. Better yield and better stength. Others no doubt will have a different view.

A clone carries the exact genetic material of its "parent". I had a friend once who told me "keep a mother because clones get worse as time goes on". He was completely incorrect and would know that if he had grown anything of his own. The old adage of its "like a copier" and the plant will show genetic weakness with each sucessive clone is completely false. Clones dont lose or gain genetics so they are always an exact replica. Only environmental factors can change the look, taste, growth, and smell of the plant.

My personal finding are that the yield, and growth rate increase with each successive cloning. I doubt this has to do with the genetics and more to do with my understanding of that plants particular needs.

Clones aren't really "an exact replica of the parent plant". They are actually an extension of the parent plant - part of that very same plant!

The clones aren't "getting better" - your growing skills are!

Boo extension of the plant wtf dude, they are a exact replica!!!

Even though the genetics stays the same, that doesn't necessarily mean the plant stays the same after all that 'stress'. (getting most of its body chopped off and having to make a new root system again and again)
Not that I'm saying it's true that clones of clones get weaker.... I'm just saying I see it being possible and have never come across proof for or against that allegation.
