How many times should i water?

Heyy , i got a plant in rockwhool and hydroton rocks and ive just been watering it normaly , but the rocks tend to dry pretty quick , plant looks perfectly fine , but im just woundering how much i should water my , light is 3 or 4 inches away from the top of the plant and i got told to move it closer cuz it was stretching , but yeah , i just dont wanna over water , or under water lol

This sounds to me like a hydroponic setup, yet you are watering from the top? Either introduce the rest of the hydro equipment needed or plant this rockwool block in a medium that holds moisture and nutrients.

its not really a hydroponic set up , i just dident wanna use soil , sounds dumb i know , i COULD set up a hydroponic station but i dont want to because the box im growing in is way to small and i only have one plant , and ive just been watering randomly and its been looking pretty good , its nice and green standing straight up and ive been doin this for a few weeks no and i havent had any problems , ill probably set somthin up but i dont know yet.
