How many times will a single plant put off buds? My first plant has budded.

1)do i have to chop the buds off and start all over again with seedlings or a clone from the plant.
2) i would love to be able to make this plant last for a long time.

Hey Max,

You can leave some foliage on the plant and switch it back to a vegatative light cycle.. (18+ hours of light)

It usually takes 2-6 weeks for a plant to SWITCH back... it is much easier to clone a plant and use the clones for future harvests...

re-vegging is common but not the fastest turn around..

cheers

i am growing my very first plant and it is almost time to enjoy the fruits of my labor. should i clone this strong female or enjoy and start over? If I clone...how do I do-it?

I'd just to add, that its better to take the cutting/clone before putting the plant into flowering.

So by the time the flowering plant is done the cutting/clone will be ready to go into flowering. makes for a nice perpetual grow.

It stresses a bit but shouldn't hermie. Harvest the top 80-90% and give it about two weeks and it will start new growth. Probably a good idea to prune the roots and re-pot too.

I have never revegged a plant, but in all honesty and with what I have seen you should accept your first grows harvest. Enjoy, and get some new genetics to grow out. Ten plants this time.

You want to clone your plants, and its a bitch to clone during flower, its just hard to make em stick. Iv tried. I know it sounds cool to revegg and have a single big plant to smoke but its not as efficient. My advice is to take what youv learned and move on to your next grow; and growfaq cloning so you can grow out some clones of the stuff that hasnt budded yet.
