How much and how often should you water

I usually wait one to two days between waterings, but even if I unload almost a quart into my bucket it never travels all the way to the bottom. No water ever drips out of the holes on the bottom so I'm wondering if the bottom of the roots are getting any of the fertilized water and nutrients. If I soak it once every three days and spray the leaves as well with a mister, does that sound like enough??

When you water you want to saturate the soil till it drains, water when the pot gets light. The bigger the pot the less you are gonna have to water, the bigger the plant the more you are gonna have to water. Every soil mixture is different so you just gotta chack by sticking your finger in the dirt. When its the first few inches and the pot is light its time to water. Some people wait till it wilts and then water a day before the amount of time it took to wilt, but as the plant gets bigger its going to suck the soil dry quicker so I on't like that method. Room temp also plays a part so we can't really tell you exactly is my point.

Yeah I just dumped almost a half gallon in so I'm hoping it should be enough... I have an equivalent to a five gallon bucket so i'm sure all the dirt requires a ton of water. I'm using miracle grow fertilizer (10-30-10) to start flowering... I know everyone says stay away from miracle grow but is it really that bad??

Heft the pots when theyre dry to get a feel for their weight, water as han solo said, let em drain off for 10 mins and heft the pot again to get a feel for them wet.
if you can get a grip on the weight by hefting the pots, you could usebathroom scales or something to see their weights.
check the top 1-2" of soil every coupla days, if you pull your finger out and its moist, theyll be good for another 2-4 days.
Get a temp and humidty meter..High or low temps will affect the humidity, and inturn affects how quickly the water will evaporate off and dry out the pots..
If temps are low and you water too often you will be susceptible to mold, so if thats your deal, figure on not soaking the soil, but ensure it still conatins enough water.

some people use miracle gro..i think it is pretty subjective, just start out slow with ANY kind of nute you use. im a noob too so you mayb wanna look around for threads about nutes?

Alot of people suffer serious nute burn with MG ferts but thats also dependant on the rquirements of the strain youre growing...some like lotsa nutes, other dont.
Just figure on introducing it to the plants in very very small doses, if it shows no signs of burn, crank it up a lil, see how it likes that, and then adjust +/- as required.
MG works, but its nasty in comparison to alot of the other nutes available.

Also when the plants are due to finish flowering make sure you flush REAL good 10 days before harvest, cuz synthetic ferts like Mg make your bud taste like shit, and it can also make it hard to burn.

I am using the bloom booster so hopefully it turns out ok. A few of the leaves are starting to turn a brownish yellow on the ends and sort of curl up... Could this be from the miracle grow fertilizer??

Also what does flushing mean? Is that just watering with nothing but water for the last ten days? Or what... I also am having a hard time determining whether I have a female or not and my camera sucks at close up shots... There are a few small new growths in the nodes of my plant but there aren't any hairs coming out of them. I hope that does not mean its a male... it's only been about a week into flowering so we'll see. Any ideas?

brownish yellow at the ends sounds like nute burn dude...pics would confirm.
But yeah its prolly from the MG. If its an all-in-one type nute,Check to see if the Bloom booster also contains small amounts of regular grow ferts... I Use grow type ferts to start, as i get close to flower, i drastically reduce the % of grow nutes and start to introduce the blooming ferts, and molasses...slowly build the % of bloom booster, whilst still continuing a V small dosage of grow nutes..for the last coupla wks, i use just bloom ferts and Molasses..
Final 7-10 days of flowering just use water..NO NUTES! the plant wont need em.
Just my 0.2 on my feeding regime..

Be patient, if they start looking like balls, and more than one inbetween the nodes, its a fella.
here's a pic for comparison.
