:leaf: So i was wondering how tall i could expect my plants to grow in a 3 gallon pot without transplanting to anything else. To be honest i dont want more then 5 feet.

My next question is the different training methods what yields the most. This is my first grow and looking to get the most out of what i have. I thought about lst training but keep second guessing it . I want the most yeld but most the threads i have searched seem to disagree with one another as im sure this thread will do as well.

The final height will be determined by strain and veg time as much as the pot size.
Generally a indica plant will have to be vegged awhile to reach a 5 foot mark where as a sativa is going to hit 4-5 feet unless you just about skip vegging.

...and no one really agrees on the best yield method, that's just the way it is.
Yield will also to some degree be effected by amount and type of light, and overall health.

The basics must be perfect in order to get maximum yield.

the basics

  1. pure air
  2. pure light
  3. pure medium
  4. pure water
  5. correct humidity, temp, pH, ppm
  6. nutrients
to fulfill the previous 6

  1. filter incoming air
  2. correct height and keep the glass of the reflector clean (if you use one), use HPS bulbs for only 2 flower cycles then toss 'em
  3. soil or medium has no unknowns in it
  4. use RO or distilled water
  5. measure and correct for the particular strain
  6. I like organics and the amounts of nutes I use varies by strain
Each plants genetics and grow environment will determine how large each plant will be. I have (setting up the 3rd) 3 tents in different areas of my house and each one is it's own unique micro environment, with it own unique requirements.

Which style, LST, SCROG, SOG, DWC, Ebb and Flood, Wick, aero, foggers, etc. will depend on the individuals style and abilities.

I am unable to lift over 10 lbs (back and neck injuries) so some styles are harder for me. I have found that the ebb and flood is the easiest FOR ME to clean and prep. Stink's system rocks but for me is too hard to clean.

in my opinion, LST

Low Stress Training performed properly causes no damage at all and sends your shoots flying.
