how much bigger do plants get in flowering

i have heard that plants get 2X there size in flowering is that true, in fact i have had people say 3X bigger? Any opinions?

Strain dependent. 1.5-3x stretch is normal. Like purp said Sativas tend stretch more.

I've seen some indica dominant plants that really start to stretch and look like sativa when they flower

my 8 gdp vegged till 18-20" there at day 48 flowering now and at 25" my first grow buds look beautifull so
