How much Bud

Okay how much of the bud should turn red/amber you know the hairs or what ever! should or most of each bud hairs be turning color! Before harvesting, and if the tops buds have more color should they be cut so the inner buds get light or does that decrease the THC levels for the rest of the plant or increase?

Buds are getting amber/rust color hair turning, how much of the hairs on the buds, Most?

I am a newbie too. Never had a harvest. However I hear that you wait until about half or 2 thirds of the buds hairs turn reddish and harvest!

Get a cheap pocket microscope from Radioshack... It's the best 12$ you'll ever spend.

Seriously, I've seen grows where the pistils (large hairs) were completely white - yet the trichomes (what you need to be looking at) were almost all amber... I've also seen grows wehre the pistils were completely dead and the trichomes failed to mature for 2 further weeks.

The only way to check, is to look at your trichomes under a 30x or higher microscope.

Turn the lights to 12/12 and dont even think about cutting for two months

This is an outdoor grow, Flowering for 4 weeks give or take a few day, think I will get a scope though thanks.
