How much can you Top?

I took a seedling about 2 1/2 stages in and topped it. Around a week old. I wanna see what it will do to the plant. I've never seen it done before. Think it will stress it out and make it herm out? I want to to keep topping it as it grows. See what it takes to stress it out to much.

The seedling isn't yellow it just looks it from the light. It's a nice shade of dark green.

A few of my others 4 weeks and three weeks.

It's been about a week since I topped the 3 stage seedling. The plant has atleast tripled in size and the two new stalks are growing nicely. I will post a pic soon. How many tops have you seen on one plant? How many times is too many times?

I like to wait till the plant has plenty of nodes to top it. And then top those nodes again right before putting it into flower. I think for me the magic number of top colas in flower is 5 -6 at most before the flowers become smaller and slower growing.

I top around 3-4 nodes and then top those again maybe 2 or 3 times depending on genetics/response. I achieved 14 colas on one plant this time, and I think the yield will be more then worth the 'slower growing' stated above. Indoor growing is all about surface area & depth. If only the sun fit in the closet too!

The major thing I noticed is when topped younger it causes the lower secondary branches to grow way faster.
