Its a 400 watt hps and no im not air coolingWhat is your light wattage, and will you be air cooling it?
no..that takes away about 70 percent of airflow........ty so much all +reps. Will a 170 CFM fan be enough if i have a carbon scrubber too?
It will be fine....just get a filter thats rated for the same cfm or a bit more. There is some reduction in flow but its nowhere near 70%ty so much all +reps. Will a 170 CFM fan be enough if i have a carbon scrubber too?

If you make your own filter, make it the same size as a commercially manufactured filter thats rated for the same cfm as your fan. Surface area and bed depth are important.
Im not completely retarded thanks though. Also the number of bends and elbows in your setup will reduce the airflow.... I would be tempted to go the 6 inch and if you need to put a variable speed switch on it and dial in what you want... Also if you are running CO2 don;t beputting out CO2 while venting....
Haha well when you put it that way, thanks for the advice.Hey man didnt say you were but worse things have happened....

Do you have a link for this product? You got a 400 watt lamp and 104 cubic foot of space in that tent. Get a six inch sunleaves Windtunnel. No calculations needed, enough time has already been spent. This windtunnel is a 100 percent plastic fan which the quietest fan there is rated for 409 cfm although mine tested at 450 but hey. No question it will handle a properly made filter too. However, you can't use a variable speed controller on it though because it has fixed frequency capacitor otherwise it'll make whining noise if you do.
This is the fan im gettingDo you have a link for this product?
