How much did you pay to go to college/university?

Waaaay too much. I wish I could sell that piece of paper back for what I paid for it.

it costed me 90$ to apply for ontario campus something to so even apply for college it costed me 90
tuition was about 4000 and some each semester so i paid roughly over 8500 for tutition alone,
books costed way more then they told us they were about 300 a piece, i had 5 books so 1500 on books
then i needed an entire hairstyling kit which costed 1801 and i remember the extra 1 dollar cause it pissed me off
gas to and from i walked so none.
food , buying from the cafe is where they get you as the average lunch costed around 10$ so only bought lunch on occasion there, but generally i spend about 60$ on grocery per 2 weeks
misc - i had to buy uniforms, which is something you dont count the cost, i also had to keep up stocked on my makeup as it was required that we wear make up to school, so overally that costed me, around 1000$ i had to buy an entire new wardrobe

I paid for school by myself, i saved up enough money in the bank while working fulltime and living on my own deciding if it was really what i wanted to do as its the smart thing to do because people who go to college right out of highschool generally change their major and rack up a shit ton of debt.
it took me 48 weeks im now graduated and working in my field, and yes it was worth it for me i was done in 1 year i went august to august, graduated in 2012, and now im a hairstylist i love my job, i wake up wanting to go to work !

I'm about 15k into college and about 85k into building trades.

The college part, a joke. The building trades, best money I ever spent.

School cost me over $30,000

My education cost me $3.50 in late charges from the library

I'm still paying for my education, been out since 2000. It was a complete waste of money for me, I really don't remember what the total cost was, but prob over $100K total expenses, living and school. It tooke me 6 yrs though.

I ran a business painting houses (high end new construction, not a college pro newbie type thing) during to pay for a lot of it, but still took major loans. I ended up being just another over educated house painter, even though I did try working in an office for 5 yrs, which didn't end well.

I do think its really important for people that don't get sidetracked like me though. Its the key to most peoples successful careers, but that education can itself teach you that your life is meant to do something unrelated along the way. Maybe that, in itself, is worth it.

would hjave spent 10 grand for out of state loans but, i dropped out to save for a couple of months get a car and hit inside state rates for better. get a car and work well then it makes college easier and allot more fun, plus fuck waiting on the pay out, job related work and exsperience is a plus big time

$200k first time. $60k 2nd time. Going back to school in September and it will be $84k.

First time was free, I went my jr/sr years in high school and got a associates 11 years ago. Then I'm back in school for the last 2 years and currently to finish up a BA, it's taking forever as an adult but I only have 5 classes left. I'll have about 30k in debt from this second round of schooling.

I worked in trades for several years, carpenter then drywall finishing, I wanted to be an electrician but never got into the schooling at the right time. My gf works in communications and I've seen the difference between white collar and blue collar which made me go back to school. She started at $37k and now makes over 80k with the same company, still in her 20's.

About $2500.00 for two years full schedule. Back when I went they had a cap of $250.00 per semester max. Everything after that was free with the exception of books.

Sold pot to pay for it, the wife worked and I took care of the kid. Ended up with a ASE certification in Auto Mechanics. Then I went to work as a bookkeeper for 15 years. lol

At least I save money on car repairs.
