So I'm still conflicted about harvesting.. I'm checking my plants with a RS 60x scope outside at night. Two plants have trichs that seem about ready. The trichs are mostly cloudy or milky white and an occasional amber. Quite a few spots on both plants have a real amber hue so seem to be turning. I mean, I spent 30 minutes looking at a sativa last night that's supposed to need another 10-14 days but it looks pretty close to being done.
I'm sure they could both stand another week but I don't know if another week is going to make a huge difference in yield or weed quality. I have to drive a shit long way back in 7-10 days if I don't take them tonight.
On one hand I've put a lot of time, money, and effort into growing and want it to be good.. On the other, if they weren't going to swell a bunch or improve dramatically I'm not so sure it's worth waiting. These are not big plants- 4-5 feet and mostly just colas(two per plant).
I know I've read buds tend to swell the final week of flowering but it's not like they increase by 30-50%, right? And if most of the trichs are milky white with a few turning amber, it's close enough that another week is not going to mean all that much in yield or quality, right?
Thanks, you all are a great help.
