How much do you Yield per plant.

10 pounds per plant? That’s over 4000 grams or is my math off?
I was joking.

But when I grow for weight I can get 4 -5 oz's off a plant depending on strain. But I'm just growing in a 4 x 4 with a 600 watt HPS. But with 4 plants 16 - 20 ounces is very doable with that setup. Lately I have not come close to that target because I've been growing multiple strains and small plants because I shifted to making crosses and seeds instead of focusing on yield. I still end up with more than I can smoke and give much of it away. I don't grow just for yield.

Definitely did haha
The reason you are getting so many goofy answers is because yield is effected by the lighting you use, the temperature and humidity levels during each stage of the plants growth, the airflow in the growing area, any pests that may enter the area, the growing medium you use, the nutrients you feed, how often/how much you feed, how often/how much you water, the type of training you put the plants through, and your abilities as a grower.

I still haven’t hit 1g/watt yet but I think part of that issue is the cheap lights I’ve been running. I can’t wait to get the rest of my parts in so I can finish building my new lights.
Yeah ive got a good chunk of money into my 5x5 1000w double ended setup, especially with the recent decision to add a 3x3 with a 315cmh. Went all out on the 3x3, gorilla tent, sunsystem hood/ballast combo with the philips ballast and bulb, 6'' ac infinity temp and humidity controlled exhaust fan with filter. Its going to be glorious.

Yeah I totally understand that it’s affected by many factors I was just interested to know what people were yielding. Not to compare to what I’m doing but out of curiosity.

Yeah, I cannot wait to get my lights built! I’m building two 240W Samsung F-Strip lights for my 4x4. It’s crazy to think that 480W will blow away the 600W I’m running right now.

3+ ounces per month of veg (4 weeks from sprout/clone) is a decent average for those who really need an answer.

Its not so much about the light you use, more or less how you use it, intensity changes with footprint/height which directly effects yield.

Damn, so my plants that vegged for literally a year are going to yield 36oz! Hell ya!

ThAts about what I got 3+oz off a few of em , 31 day from sprout on 6 of them, other 3 only went 24 days, when u run from seed not all them will be winners/keepers.. u can rly get your yields up when u got a tent full of something u selected .. I got bout 17/18 zips out the 5x5 but as u can see it’s not too full

If I came away with anything from Renfro’s 40+ pound thread it’s that a nice long veg is important. Not to mention he’s running serious wattage over AND around his plants

This is like asking a group of strangers "How much do you bench press?". Why does anyone care about what others yield? All anyone needs to know is 0.5g/watt is good for a beginner, 1g/watt is great for an average grower, and anything over 1.5g/watt means you really know how to grow.
Damn maybe a year ago I would have loved to get into a constructive argument about bench pressing but I haven’t seen the inside of a gym in a long time. I really miss those gains... :wall:

Basic guide line would be 600W of spread out led, 4x4 scrog space and heavy yielding strain. Upto >15oz novice >25oz intermediate >30+oz expert. 1 flower space and 1 veg space perpetual. Typically 4 to 6 plants will be used.

SOG+high plant count and possibly Co2 would seem a big step in getting up to and over 30oz, I could be flat out wrong on that due to what could be light limitation of 600w. In anycase anywhere near 25oz is very doable and good, after that is pro territory.

Medium yielding strains will take off >30% of above and low yielding strains >50% I guess some could be less.

If you are looking for max yield the flower duration is 9 weeks. This will tightly allow 5 crops per year if you are efficient AF while you have more range of good quality strains. Most 8 week strains are bread for cash crops, high yield but often low quality smoke. Obviously if you have an 8 week strain that has quality and yield it's a no brainer.
