How much electric can you use in the uk?

Would really like to know what the electric amount you can use without any problems.

Now i know you should pay your bill on time which i know heard that before i do mine by direct debit so no probs there,

but in a two bedroom house/flat what could you use up too with no probs?

At the moment i'm using about 800w for 12 hours on. and about 300w for the veg 18 hours would love to add a bit more light if i could....'' what you think?

Im really interested to know too U.K. growers please post answers even if it a ball park figure.

Bloody hell thats a bit much I thought an increase of £10 at the very most. I have a power monitor attached to my mains so at the end of my first grow Ill find out the cost, Its gonna be a big one.
I hate the credit crunch.

yea maby more around the £15 mark i hope ..tried to work it out from my last bill i got fans which usin energy 2..but sum1 told me they dont use too much..i would think your bill would have to go up at least double for your energy company to flag you on the system..but thats just speculation

For sure as soon as someone gets a new computer ( 500-800 watts) the power company has got the pigs at yer home knockin the door down to make sure you aren't growing weed of any kind. God forbid you were to ever get a electric blanket, a portable heater, a nice high powered computer and a big screen TV, shit probably have the whole SWAT ( not sure what they call the special police forces over there in UK) team in there with helicopters, tear gas, dogs, multiple government agencies and a few specialized task forces. For sure.

Point is stop being so paranoid, unless you are running 5000 watts or more there should be no worry whatsoever.

Well firstly thanks for the replies, and yes i'm not running 5000w so maybe i could bump it up a bit only looking at an extra 250w not too much of a jump may well go for it now.

Anyone else in the uk using lots of power with no probs?

im running 600w hps and 2 250 cfl, along with computers decks, speakers, amps ect in nearly every room (live with a bunch of music production heads) and a big ass tv downstairs... i know its not massive but we haven't had problems so far *touches wood*
