Do you think I should just pick the best 4 or 6 plants and flip asap?
How do you know what plants are the best though? You can't tell unless you flower them. What if you cull the only one that doesn't produce bananas? Just saying it's impossible to tell in veg who's gonna do what in flower. I have seen plants totally change personality after the flip, the runtiest plant ends up outgrowing the others.
That said, I would likely cull the runt since it will get pushed out by the others anyway.
It looks like you topped them at some point, this made them bushier, when growing multiple plants in a smaller space it is often better not to top them. I would say favor the top colas and lollipop off most of the lower branches. Basically pruning back the plants so that you can get like 4 - 6 colas per plant and run all the plants except perhaps the runt. Don't top branches as that will make the problem worse. I would put some hortitrellis in there at a height such that the colas will be supported, sometimes it's best to use more than one layer. After stretch (first 20 days of 12/12) make sure that any lower branches that don't get light are removed (lollipopping). This will let the plant focus all it's energy on the tops.
The benefit to having more plants aside from phenotype variation is the additional root mass. The added root mass from the other pots will make for more yield potential and less frequent watering.
The downside to the multiple plants is obviously the crowding and the potential for bananas (female staminate flowers).
