How much longer should I wait to flush her?

I agree with your approach of feeding plain water for the last two weeks, but that’s not a “flush”. Flushing involves pouring huge amounts of water thru the soil and is a highly debated topic here on RIU.

I would guess that you have more than two weeks left though, so I wouldn’t start yet.

Just my 2 cents.

How many weeks into flowering are you? Assume it will take longer to flower than the stated weeks as that is under perfect conditions. I usually run 2-3 weeks longer.

That thing has been over fed and like @xtsho said it has at least a month to go. I’d back off the feeding your loving it too much. Either way be patient and don’t worry with flushing. I’d only use light light bloom type nutrients something with little to no nitrogen because you over did it on that end.

Oh I was under the impression flushing it could mean different things .. basically just washing away excess nutrients either with plain water over a period of time or a hard flush which is what you were talking about !

Yo so I'm actually exactly where you're at, final weeks of flowering, so close to the flush, I'm just an amateur I guess, but eyeballing, it looks like you gave too much nitrogen, when I say this I mean too much in the ratio of n-p-k rather than physical amount because it doesnt look bad. In veg they love da nitro, go crazy for it, but in flowering it totally flips and a lot of nitrogen makes really tiny buds with a lot of vegetative growth like leaves and it'll be dark green maybe leaf tips pointing down. Again kinda guessing let's say you're halfway through flowering, personally I would say do a hard flush to quote from earlier, like outside, or a bathtub or sink, and run a few gallons per watering for 2 or 3 waterings, but I'm using airpots so mine drain better idk if you can as easily. But anyway in flowering weed likes phosphorus(p) and potassium(k) in larger amounts, P mostly controls bud sites and nodes, K has to do with filling buds out and density. That's just extra but bottom line high p and k, low n, for any plant food. Also your ph may be off because I really mean no offense but the buds are quite small and the edges of the leaves almost going beige and chipping away a little is usually a ph problem as not being in the correct range can lead to difficulty up taking nutrients, tbh whole thing might just be ph, I'd say get a test kit test your water cuz if it's high or low that could be it. To give an answer to your original question it has a month to go aprox before flushing nutes is on the table, don't believe these guys saying it's urban myth, some people choose not to and it may up the potency by boosting a tiny bit in the last week or 2 but it practically smashes any flavor profile and the plant breaks down the nutes so all that is being done is cutting off the nutes so it uses up the remaining, I'd say it's a bigger deal for chemical nutes than organic tho, couple bowls of pineapple express really gets the train of thought going, hope you find something useful in that light novel, also proof is in the pudding just for authentication i no crazy

Ahhhh you're so awesome . Thanks for all the love and advice !! You're totally right. This plant has had a messed up life I can't believe it's even alive lol. It has literally fallen off a balcony. I'm sure it has all sorts of problems. Lol. But it didn't give up so I didn't either iv just been feeding her big buds (no nitrogen) but she's probably just is going to have small buds because there was never a light schedule and never really got to veg properly. Next round of plants are much better than that one lol. Yours looks awesome tho :)

So the reason I'm not going to comment on a noob telling you to do all this flushing rigmarole is because some experience growers still perpetuate this hippie myth too, but aside from an emergency treatment for a sick or ill plant, never flush a cannabis plant.

You can believe me now or you can listen to the Lord above later, who tells you the same thing; We're both experienced growers and we understand flushing, but if you choose to listen to a newb that's your choice, but you're going to be doing a lot of unnecessary water schlepping and you're going to cost your plant some growth in the end and you're not going to improve your smoke in any way!

  • it's proper drying and curing that tempers your bud into the smooth, smokable treat we all love and want, and is an art and a skill in itself. Yes! Proper curing will make a huge difference, but flushing for a final few weeks will not.

You have at least 4 weeks left. What many experience grow is do is begin cutting down there nutrients in the final few weeks until the last few feedings they might get only plain pH'ed water, but this is not a flush; this is a gradual decrease of nutrients, which allows the plant to continue a natural growth cycle.

I have an auto that looks similar. Decided to feed it compost tea and water until finish, and a bit of flower fuel too.
