How much sun do I really need?

i have started my outdoor grow in my back yard. I am getting broken sun until about 9:30 am and full sun until about 4:30 pm. Then broken sun for another hour and then shade. Is this enough sun for my plants?

thats plenty. i got 2 plants on only 5 hours of light and they are doing great so ya you got plenty of light

my plant is on my rooftop, and it gets about 3 hours of direct sun per day. It is shaded for the most par, but still receives, in whatever quantity, enough light for about 11 - 12 hours daily.

The plant is just fine 5 1/2 weeks old, flowering for about a week so far!

as much as possible. but it sounds like you get plenty to have good buds.

I had some 7 footers with only 6 hrs max.It is all about water and feed.My plants grow more durring the night!Figure that one out?

I have been brewing airated compost tea at sunset and giving it before bedtime, and seems to be better that in the morning. I agree that they must gorw at night.

This year I've got them in about 8 hrs of direct sun.The more sun the better,thats for sure.
