If the weed is so bad, then why order it? If you dislike paying for it because it is too expensive then don't. Grow your own or don't smoke it. It is as simple as that.

it is a humanitarian effort you ass hat, your telling me i should charge a parapalegec with no job on ssi for the weed he already buys, because i delivered it, people that deliver already know what they are doing if they cant have any compasion then they should work on wallstreet, we are in a war to get it legal so by putting stupid bs fees on weed delivery is just retarded, ps insurance company get wind of you delivering narcotics they will cancel your ass if your bank gets wind of you delivering in a car thay you are paying on that they hold the title to then they will repo your shit, i know this first hand it happened to my best friend three months ago, got pulled over as a legal mmj patient doing a delivery for a tail light failure, didnt even get a ticket, 2 days later insurance broker called said your canceled we wont insure drug involved clients, bank called the same day said they were not going to lose the car due to illegal activities
thats bullshit. when you form a corporation you have to find a bank that is ok with setting up an account for mj delivery.... and there's plenty of them out there.

its only a tip to the person receiving the "tip", were is the personal insult, what cause i said asshat, its not a business people, and im not your son, so take your "business" elswere, were is your storefront do you have a business tax payer id, do you have insurance and bond, do you pay state taxes, do you have exemptions when you file taxes, do you right off money not recieved for inability to pay, do you right of business expenditures, no you dont, all of these things are done on a daily basis in the business world, but what do i know i minored in business managment in college
lol just read this post you DO have to have insurance, a tax payer id and pay state taxes... dumbasshat.
go back to school.

actually, there are many factors to consider if you were to tip an mmj driver since there are many ways to get shafted when buying a sack. with a pizza, the factors are: is hot?, is the order right?, is it on time?

I say no because this reason;

1) Walk in disp, at least the one I use has top shelf 1/8ths 30 bucks. My delivery services I use charge 55-60 an 1/8th, so I am paying twice the price but he has gas and vehicle fees to pay for. Both the delivery places I use are small family operated so there the grower/supplier.

I am a patient and have used a delivery serive all around the state. Here in socal and as welll in norcal. Last year forth july i decided to take the subway out to san francisco go see the fire works get a cold one burn a few down all in good time solo or not.

I call my delivery half way to the city say hey man i am the subway parking lot in berkeley you think it be cool to drop it off at the station parking lot? He says sure the time of arrival is 5 minutes. I walk down the stairs wait 5 minutes for the range rover. Guy was cool they charge like 50 or 55 the 8th but is convient.

I guess what i am trying to say is if you can afford it and are getting a better deal than 50 or 55 for the 8th they are cool people throw joints and shit then throw him what ever left over ones in your pocket if ya want. I am sure he would go back and tell the boss. They know me by name call me with updates. I think some are out there for the buck no compassion.

Some are for the buck and some compassion : )

And delivery services have considerably lower overhead costs.

I'm still inclined to think you tip them absolutely nothing unless they are giving you an amazing deal. This isn't ordering pizzas.

Which is how any and every business works, you factor your overheads into your price, and not rely on peoples generosity to cover them :) glad there's one straight headed delivery chap in the business.

"Delivering it is his job, that's what he's paid for, no tip  if he does something above and beyond to deserve a tip, that's a different question". And you sir will always get 3.5 and not a red hair more...:hump:

Ummm bringing meds to your house, job, wherever....thats already above and beyond!

Mary get's 4.0, always aaa+, hashpops, edibles, free grams here and there to try new strains....oh yeah and Mary is a waitress...

Not asking for a lot, ever consider the fact that legal or not it's a federal offense? Compassion ? Will you write me letters, come to my court hearing and donate to my release fund ? Let me guess, I already make enough right ?....You will move on to the next delivery service and poor joe blo can fen for himself right ?...

Tip your driver a buck Jesus Christ, some of us are trying to have a "defense fund".....
Maybe you should make your prices reflect your business costs instead? It's what every other business ever has done. It is the universal rule of business. Charge enough for your product or service to cover all of your costs and also make a profit.

It's commonly understood that servers live on their tips. They are taxed on their sales because the government assumes that each customer leaves a tip proportionate to the bill. They pay tax on your tip, whether you leave it or not. You don't tip, you cost your server money.

Is this right? No, it's fucked up, but it's just how it things are, and everybody understands that. It sounds to me like you are just trying to rationalize being a cheap asshole.
And employers are legally obligated to make up short comings to bring your wage to minimum wage. You work for $2/hr and make NO tips, they have to compensate you the difference to make it minimum wage. Not tipping does not COST them anything other than the lost tip.

From what I've experienced, good delivery services that aren't in to to get as much money as they can as fast as they can, don't accept tips. Those are the ones you want to go to, because they are honestly in it to help their patients, and make a little on the side (be real, everyone in the business is out to get their own, but you can help people along the way). We used to use a delivery service that covered parts of OC and LA, great prices, friendly drivers, they refused to take a tip. We offered them at least $20 per ounce we ordered, and every week they told us they couldn't accept any tips.

As an accountant, I would file my sister's income taxes. The W-2 has a box titled "Alocatted Tips". That is the amount of tips that you should have received because of your sales. Each year she had to take a form to her employer to sign that told the IRS that the tips that she did receive was not what was alocatted. Why in Hell would anyone pay income taxes on $25,000.00 when in reality they only earned $12,000.00. If one is to read this thread, one would think that underpaid sales people must live in that scenario across the country. What is a "good" tip? Whatever one thinks is fair and equitable for the services received. If the dispensary does not charge additional for delivery, then you should apply for a job at the dispensary to determine their wages. Regardless, it will take some forethought and leg work on your part. That would be better than starting a thread which have the members fighting amongst themselves.
