How much wattage to use

YO whats up everybody im curently in the process of starting my first grow. Right now im in the construction of the grow box and it will be in my closet. The space i have is 1'10"(Deep)x3'6"(Wide)x5'5"(Tall). I have just about everything worked out and i will be using mh for vegging and an hps for flowering. The only thing i cant figure out is if i should use a 250watt lights or 400watt ones. If i use the 400watt would it be bad for the plants due to the small place? And also how many plants do you guys think i could fit in there, i was thinkin three? Thanks in advance for your guys's help this is my first post but have learned a lot from all the other ones ive read on this site.

In that size space, the 250 watter would probably be best. I think the 400 would generate too much heat. With that size box, I would stay with 2 plants.

250 will work but a 400 would be better if you can control the heat. You can do more than 2 plants, you can lollipop them and fit alot of small plants in there.

I would use the 400 watt because it would put a lot more lumens out but if you go with that then you will definately need to put some exhaust in your grow box. I suggest that you purchase a couple pc fans, one for intake and one for exhaust. Good luck..

on a 400w in that tight a space you would need to get a cooltube plus extra intake and exhaust.
depends really on how much flowjack you got to invest buddy. youll need extra fans,ext cords, timers, pots, SOIL, NUTES, etc. etc.
It happened to me when i first started. i really underestimated all the little things you need to get to have a truley controled an ideal place for you plants to live!

i got a pretty good idea of the things il need if helped with a few other grows but this would be my first one and also my first one in a box

any of you guys done scrog before??any advice?? im gonna be attempting my first one starting in about a week in a half with most likely three plants
