Didn't notice the link to that ipower ballast, its a good deal, i've been there with 2 cheap ballasts 1 being identical but 1000w. It melted inside the fuse holder 1 day shy of 2 years. Local grow store was absolutely awesome and gave me a brand new eballast mini as replacment. They said they had nearly all returned and we're suprised mine had lasted as long as it did. Basically get what ya pay for and the fire hazard that ballast was definitely wasn't worth the price. It will for sure work for ya and get the job done if thats what you can afford for now, its a great price.
600 watts would be perfect for a square meter, if the enviroment allows it. I'm about to throw 1000s back in each covering 4x4 ft area.
