hows it going everyone. Im new to the forum and new to growing. I have a pretty big closet and im thinking of growing inside of it. Ive spaced it out to where theres room for about 12 plants. If i put a 1,000 watt light in there, how much can i expect to grow? I know there our other variables that i have to consider. BUT as far as just the light, can i still expect only 1lbs.

Thanks everyone!

yeah there are so many variables.. Its hard to really say. First time growers are usually pretty damn happy pulling .5 grams/watt. Which is just over a pound with 1000 watt, but ive seen gram/watt grows and above even, and also less than .5/gram watt grows. How big is the closet and how long are you planning on vegging?

Well there are alot of factors. Strain being the main one. You have strain, nutes, media, temp, humidity, co2 levels, veg time, grow method (lst, main-lining, topping, sog, or nothing) and lighting (bulb, hood, hps, mh, cmh, led, t5, cfl). If you are a pro you would hit about 0.5 grams per watt with hid. More so with led or par t5. Considering this is your first time. You will get a lot less. Aside from the learning curve of growing in general. The first batch of a new strain will always be the worst one. It takes a few batches to learn how a strain grows and what its perticular needs are. Also with strain type. Sativas yield the most. Indicas yield the least. Hybrids are in the middle. I do indicas myself. Im a kush head.... I averags about 1 oz a plant if vegg for 4 weeks. If I veg for 8 weeks I average about 3 to 4 oz per plant depending.

Anyway. No one can tell you specifically what your yield will be. What I said is the best honest answer you will get.

Good luck and happy growing
