While curing I roll my jars around a bit whenever I think of it, and make sure I open them to breathe once a day for a week or two, after I get the moisture level just right.

I shake the jar closed like a box of dice, open it, smell it for any sign of mold, let it breath for anywhere from 1-2 hours, close it up and repeat the next day.

If it start to have an odd or babyshit smell, then you take it out, look for the mold, discard the offending bud, cry and bitch for awhile and proceed. Not a bad idea to rearrange the bud but I limit handling as much as possible. No mold yet for me. 2 weeks into the current cure of 5th grow.

Precisely stated Crazy, I guess I was a tad brief in my reply. Interesting difference though, is that I have never had any trace of mold problems while curing and have cured many grows over the years. I have though had mold on plants prior to harvest, and have had my cry and bitch time for sure.

Climate and ambient moisture levels play a big role in this process. Where I live my shit can dry too fast if I'm not careful cause I dry in cardboard boxes outdoors. I need to get the buds out of the box and into a jar or bag when the buds are getting dry but there is still moisture in the stems (flexible), let the moisture level balance out in the buds, and let breathe as necessary to get just the right moisture level.

Only then does the curing process begin, and I have no concerns of mold as the moisture level is just right.
