How often do I Fertilize My Marijuana Plant?

It says on the back of the fertilizer or plant food what ever it is (all I know is that it has NPK Nutrients and seaweed extracts in it !) that i should fertilize every 7-14 days?

Is this right? :leaf:

Every 7 days sounds about right unless you're mixing it really strong. I do every other watering which ends up being about once every 6-7 days.

im new but have a fairly basic idea. basically you dont ant to over do it ideally every other watering or so. and maybe watering down your consistancy so there gettin fed often but little with out over doin it!!!!!!

Is it a soil grow? Feed when the plant needs it or build it up from a small amount, that way you can see how the plant responds, less is better than more to start with, mix quarter strength and less for small plants and apply to one watering only to see if it has a positive or negative effect. Most small plants in soil do not require ferts till they have depleted up the nutes in the soil a little and by this time you should notice a lot of roots sticking out of the bottom of the pot, could also repot and hold of the ferts for a few weeks if the plant has filled the pot with roots and been in it a while.

What are the numbers for the NPK, which stand for N-Nitrogen, P-Phoshorous and K-Potassium, should be three numbers like 6/5/3 or 4.5:2:7 or similar, the numbers are the value of the nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. The other nutrients you shold be aware of are calcium and magnesium. These five are the main ones then theres stuff like iron, boron, manganese and loads other. These can be called trace elements or micro and macro nutients. Seaweed has a lot of these in but not much magnesium. The ferts sound pretty good and standard so don't panic by all the new words and terminology, just do some reading up on ferts and nutrients also NPK values as you generally need a different fertilizer for veg and flower. You will have a lot of questions that researching and googling plus previous threads will help you with too. Hope this is a start for you and good luck, its never easy in the beginning.

Be ye warned!!! The novice grower nearly almost always over fertilizes his plants, it is quite often the first mistake and sometimes the end of the plant!!! Second mistake is overwatering!lol!

You must become one with your plant, young grasshopper.

Watch your plant when you start to see yellowing then fertilize, and it is better to fertilize weak doses more often than strong doses less often.

Since I use several mixes (Fox Farm Big Bloom, Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, Mag-Pro etc.) to fertilizer I am feeding everytime I add water with some type of fertilizer. I use less than the recommended dosage because I am always feeding them something,

I seldom ever see yellowing, beause I do the same, just trying to let him know what the signs are.
I look at it in the sense of ourselves, we seldom have only one meal a day.

So telling a novice . Fertilize when they need it..Is the perfect advice

I put my plants in the ground too early, I overwatered and over fed. I'm sad that I did that, I'm being honest. I have one plant in a fabric pot and one in a plastic with super good drainage. They are trying to bud. Is there anything I can do? IMG_0517.JPG

I have them on 18/6 right now but my light isn't great. Can I start over or is it too late? I can hear the collective "aaaaaaaaarrgh" already.....

followed by too much light and insects/mold/mildew. If you can get the food/water/light right, you will avoind most of what plagues people in here.
