Generally speaking, local law enforcement wont mess with you if you have scrip and follow stae or local law. It's true that regardless, Feds trump all. But they have said they aren't interested in medical patients that follow local guidelines, all they've done so far is go after the money, like dispensaries that are making profit or not following local guidelines.

So medical patients should be fine, at least right now. But the Feds can change their minds about that and enforce federal law any time they want

that is fairly accurate for now...where do you think the feds look after the dispensaries are closed?...caretakers are next on the chopping block then growers...the war is far from over...amsterdamn just passed a law that says tourists can not buy or even enter cannabis coffee shops..residents only..the laws are going backwards worldwide..look at canada and california.

Do you have a source for this? Not that I don't believe you, but that would seem to go contrary to the "marijuana tourist" thing, and would surprise me quite a bit.

Only in the south of the country, not nationwide, and it is being appealed based on it being discrimination against foreigners, something which is well, rather a key building stone behind the existence of the EU, equality, open borders and such.

You are aware though that Amsterdam is a city yes? Not a country? Amsterdam didn't pass any laws, the Netherlands government did, that is to say a judge simply ruled on it. But we all know that EU countries have lost most of their power to the EU.

If it is passed, it has only been passed with regard to the south of the country. A trial if you may, before considering implementing it nationwide.

Yeah, it doesn't sound like it's gonna last, but who knows. The end of the article makes it seem like the conservatives passed it willy nilly and aren't in power anymore, so it's pretty likely the new govt will eliminate it.

Only time will tell I suppose.

it makes zero sense to pass that dumb ass law....going by their own numbers 23% of tourists spend money in coffee shops...so guesstimate 100 a person and you are looking at 450 million in lost revenue

There are 3 basic but essential rules to obey when growing pot.. Don't Smell, Don't Tell, Don't Sell. You tell anyone, then you risk getting busted. You think REAL carbon filters are too expensive.. look at the laws for your state, smell is an automatic search warrant. When you sell it, especially from the same location... just don't.

You might think these rules are dumb or too strict but they are the 3 things that will get you busted. Sorta like , don't breath underwater, you might convince yourself you don't need that filter or heck, he is your best friend, you can trust him.. but then you choose to take that breath underwater. good luck and enjoy :+)
