How often should I water Coco?

Hello, This will be my first grow in coco. It came in one of those water expandable bricks. Well i was reading some guides and some people say to wait till it starts to dry out and other people say they water/feed every day? Im just confused about how often i should water, i dont have any perlite mixed in, its just 100% coco. So far, ive been waitin about 2-3 days between waterings, but my seedling do seem to be growing kinda slowly...also, when should i start adding nutes? as i understand, coco is a neutral medium so it has no nutrients in it unless i add them. I'm using the Roots Organic nutes, ive got buddah grow, trinity, and budda bloom..so how often should i feed them too? thanks for any help guys:leaf:

I have grown from coco coir several times and i know people say you have to water everyday and that is simply not true! I wouldn't let it let it dry out all the way but, you will be amazed how much water coir can hold.

So i should just keep doin what im doin? every 2-3 days, the top lair had like dry dust on it, but about half an inch lower is still moist? and when should i add nutes? i have a auto blueberry that is 12 days old and an auto pineapple express that is 7 days old? People say to add nutes as soon as it sprouts because there are no nutes in the coco..is that true?

Ok heres the go with coco bricks, they are of a lower quality than loose pith that u get from companies such as canna, so you have to flush the shit out of the coco to get out any excess salts in the coco to start with. Flush it with a water solution ph 5.8 with a light ammount of coco specific nutrients till your water runoff is 5.8ph. Never let your coco dry out completely, it is not like soil and does not require this as it is more like hydroponics instead of soil based mediums.

Water once daily till you see 10% water run off to prevent salt and ph problems.

Another good trick is to have a water supply with a small aquarium pump and air stone to oxygenate the water you are giving to your plants. Let this bubble for 1 day before giving to your plants as the ph can change as the water oxygenates, this helps evaporate the chlorine in your water and aid nutrient re uptake.

Hope this helps

Yes coco has no nutes at all in it so always have some nutes in it, even before seedling germinates
