How quicky does sex show in flowering?

My plants have been flowering for 3 days under 14 cfl @ 2700 temp lights 12/12. They were vegging for 7 weeks. Today I noticed one of them with what looked like seed packs growing. Is it too fast to show sex?

Your plants are maturing and showing signs of pre-flowers

Unfortunately, sounds like one of them is a male. Continue to watch the nodes and if the balls start to rise as if on a stem; then it's a male.

Make sure to pull the plant before the pollen sacks open !!

Look on net, there's pictures available to show you an example. Search cannabis preflowers.

What happens if the pollen sacks open??

You have time before any pollen sacks open. The preflowers will indicate the sex but there is no hurry. Just be patient and don't worry. Once you see the male banana balls there will be no doubt and you can take action then.

Males usually show sex first which is helpful. If the pollen sack does open it will pollinate your females and cause seeds. If you have not gotten yourself a magnifying glass I recommend getting one. It will really help when those first signs begin to happen. You can see the white hairs from a female much eariler.

hello hello ! I have this same question right now, telling the sex of my just-starting-to flower plants...couldn't wait for my attempts-at-clones to grow enough to sex them, so I will just veg and hope I have some females! which I think 1 is, I saw a sexy white pube on her 2day(or wishful thinkin - we will see)...I will post pics tomorrow so help out with opinion or what you can see! thanks

here's some pics of my 2 barely-into-flowering plants...a few hours short of 4 12/12 days now...99% sure i have 1 lady, but the other is like 90% sure a male which
...makes me sick, it looks SOOO strong...it could hold at least 5 zones, i shook it every day almost for 2 months! o well i am putting these sad pictures on here anyway in case someone can tell something feminine that i cant. HELP!

#1 pic is of the single female...she's 12" tall on the dot, and the 2ndary growth is looking solid round the bottom, and should be filling out up the plant as we go, right? Also **CAN I CLONE FROM MY (< 1 week of flowering) FLOWERING LADY STILL?**
#2 pic is both of the plants that are flowering, female on the right and maybe the male on the left...lookin good, right?
#3 pic and #4 pic are both of the preflowers on the possibly male plant...sorry they suck, my camera does no autofocus (cheapass! 1 reason i grow...lol!)

Any help, comments, or advice is welcome!

She did, (in my 2008-2009 grow journal in the siggy). If you get a male, you can make lots of stuff from the leaves and stems, so its not a total loss.

Good plans my man, n btw nice grow(s)... U got skills or time or both!!! but after watchin some more, I may have spoken 2 soon... Waitin still 2 c on the possible male possible lady , givin another day or 2 b4 choppin cuz I may see white hairs jus starting...!!

You'll know if it's sex in one or two weeks, and trust me when I tell you that when it shows you'll know because it will either be a white hair or some ball sack looking things. Even then you still have a few weeks so you don't have to pull it out until you are 100% sure and you'll know long before the sacks open if you check every day.

my grow showed sex after 15days, i seen 2 of the tiniest pistils shooting from what looked like male organs.. they are ALL full blown fems now nearing the last week of flower good luck

Wanted to post pictures (been in flowering one week today)

I think they are males but maybe hermie or something....

This represents two of my six plants. The other three look like girls, no balls of any kind, just hair coming out of different places. One had a heart attack of some kind.

Yup those sure look like males to me.

yessir, that's just what my *BOY* (grrrr) looked like...my *GIRL* looked clean, smooth, and a couple beautiful shining white hairs there in the off-the-stalk-and-just-above-the-stem intersection. Thanks to all for encouragement and advice! +rep for someone!

now for the 2 month wait-and-watch - patience is a virtue!

well I got two boys and three girls and one died for some reason. What can I do with the boys as they are growing still (somewhere else not near the girls)? Hash maybe? Can I get some weed from the boys?
