Thanks dude i dont know if im doing it right
but my cubic feet would be 54 divided by three would give me 18
So im guessing its 180cfm

yeah, that sounds about right doing the math, although it just doesn't sound right to me, lol..

i wouldn't get anything smaller then say 178 4 inch jobber, then you could get a fan speed controller for it and throttle it back to where you like it..

sounds good.. i use a fan speed controller along with a duct muffler to try and help the noise a bit..

I was looming at that one also but then id need a speed control and would have it at half strength
wich would be 240cfm
wich is wat the other fan is
i dont think its a booster fan
it says inline duct blower fan

it's an inline.. booster fans pretty much look super cheesy, almost like a piece of ducting with a plastic fan mounted to the inside.. booster fans are pretty crappy ime, i bought one for my space at first as i have a small space too, but once i hooked it up to the filter, that pos sounded like it was dying, lol.. i now use it just for an intake fan and it still isn't the most powerful thing ever to say the least..

this is a booster fan, like the one i have that's a pos.. you can tell the major difference in quality between the booster and an inline by simply looking at the two..

Ok cool so it is an inline fan?
i see everyone using those big metal inline fans
i just figured since this one is in like a ducting type of cylinder it was a booster fan
thanks for the help racer
So just to recap dude, this 240fan and filter combo will work for my space?

yeah, that'll be fine.. the other kind you're thinking of are called can fan's, not booster fans.. the can fans aren't the long, duct looking variety.. i'll find a pix real quick of a can fan to show the difference..

inline..

and the booster was the one i showed on the last page.. either one, a can fan or the inline will work fine.. i personally use a can fan, not sure if there's much difference between a can and an inline as i've never used an inline..

Yea those are the heavy duty cintrufical fans i was talking about
abit expensice but i bet ther great
so ill just pikup that 240and filter
wasnt sure if it would work
or if it was the right fan needed to filter the smell in my tent
and i just noticed the fan i want to get (the 240) has metal blades not plastic
so i guess it is an inline right...
again thanks for the help brrotha
this blunt im about to bern is for you ma dude

There is a lot of false advertising about the CFM of duct booster fans. There are two CFM specifications for duct booster fans, and even these specifications are very deceiving. Bear in mind that duct booster fans were design to boost the air flow to your floor or wall register in your home. Most 6" duct booster fans have a Free Air CFM of 160, and a Maximum Boosted Airflow CFM of 250. What is the difference between Free Air and Boosted Air?
Free air is the air volume output from a fan, expressed in Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) when the fan is not connected to any ductwork, pipes, louvers or other items that would interfere with the free flow of air from the fan.
Boosted Air is the maximum airflow that can be passed through in CFM before this fan, installed in a duct, becomes a hindrance to airflow rather than boosting an existing airflow.

The dead give-away is that this 6" fan is just 37 watts (that only 0.3 amp).
