Most apartments and even with rental homes the owner / manager has to give you a 24 hour notice before they can show up and or enter your home / apartment. this all depends on your state But thats how it is here in California. Also to add if you live in a state like mine and im sure others in California can agree to this, WE really dont talk to our neighbors much. I have lived in the same home for 10 years and have never talked to the people across the street other then a "hello" and "hi, how are you?"

a good carbon filter and a game plan is a must, but start out small and work your way up. look at your utility bills each month and go from there.

being a ex-property manager....this would be a bad idea...if they schedule something that is covering the entire property...fire inspection...pest management...annual property inspections...they have to give you notice before coming into your property...now maintenance on the other hand can come in at any time fore any reason...that is where the problem will come in...if your neighbors have a water leak and its a major leak...which will happen often in apartment complexes since you have sometimes 20 apartments on 1 septic tank..maintenance will come in and inspect your apartment without notice...they will knock on your door 3 times...if no answer they will unluck...announce they are there..then inspect your property...if there is a fire they will inspect for smoke damage...i dont think growing in any apartment is a good idea unless its a stealth grow...now if the building is private owned...thats a little different...they tend to care less about the insurance side of things and will let certain things go that leasing and apartment management companies are by law not allowed to overlook...but its almost as risky as renting a storage building and growing in that...can be done...but not worth the risk imo...and also want to add that this is how it is in my home state and where i managed properties...state laws may be different in other states
