Its not that cut and dry. Light, strain, nutes, size, and care all contribute to flower production.

If you are looking for one lb from a plant, you would need 16 nodes that produce 1 oz each. If you recall, an oz of dried bud is rather large, and even bigger when its wet.

FIM and LST increases nodes, which intern creates more budsites, and gets light to them. You can FIM early in flowering to make buds split and grow more and you can LST safely during flowering, if you are careful to not break the branches.

Agree with greensister. There isn't really anyway to know how much bud you are going to get from each plant due to all the factors previously listed. I always flower right around where you are at now, being 6 weeks or 12 inches. Keep in mind your plants are going to double or triple in size once you flower so you are potentially already looking at around 2-3 foot plants. Topping plants is done in order to create more upward branches which in turn create more nice big main buds, but only if there is enough light available. I say you switch them over to flowering. You should easily get 3-4 ounces from each plant.

ok thanks i topped all of them and did a low stress test they look good, they are in 2 gal pots ad about 12 inces tall and 12in wide being my first grow i just want to do it wright,

sounds like they are ready to flower but if you just topped and added some additional stress from LST, you will want to allow them time to recover before you put them into 12/12 light/dark flowering. Stress can reduce potential yield. One other thing you want to pay attention to is temperature. Cannabis generally does not like temps over 78 degrees and such heat can also reduce potential yield. And FYI if you have topped a few times, it's generally recommended not to top a plant more than twice, better to FIM or supercrop (pinching)
