How to build an Aeroponic tote

I grow in a bubbler but clone in a aero tote . Growing in a bubbler is great but not cloning .

Because it takes longer to root clones in a bubbler than it dose in a aero tote . I have tried many times to root clones in a bubbler but I don't like it ,not worth all the hassle of killing clone after clone ,or waiting twice or three times longer to root .

Also for what it would coast for all of this 4 air curtain bubble wands and 2 dual outlet pumps . A aero tote is cheaper !

If you want to do 20 clones in a areo tote the same size as mine it could be done but you would need to replant them in what ever your going to grow them in as soon as they root !

If you do the 20 clones in the aero tote I would use small neoprene plugs it would work better than the net pots . An you may want to put more full circle micro sprayers in . I have different sprayer setup if you want to see pics just let me know

You have not told me what the hell your going to grow in after they root !!!

I have a flood & drain kit. And as soon as they root I want to put them in rockwool thats how I have mine now in flower I started them in rooter plug then when they rooted I put them in RW. You said if I put them in aero tote It wouldnt be a good idea to put them in RW why? Once they root just a little can I put them in rooter plug so they can grow more than place in RW? Yeah I'm gonna go with your tote def that looks like the best bet I went to the hydro store today and they said the aero tote is the best way, and yeah in order for me to do 20 at a time get a longer tote and make the neoprone smaller. Yes I would def like to see pics of diffrent setup sprayers if you can no rush but that would be awesome, cuz Im def making that aero tote even if my clones I just did root. Thanks bro you def got me excited I cant wait till I get this started I think Im starting 2morrow.

What size of RW's are you going to use ? Also How big is the tote you are getting ? I need L x W x H , It will be easier to know what pic to put up .

An why I said not to use RW's is if the are small RW's it will fuck up I think .

Do you have any pics of you set up or your plants ?

Not a problem .

I don't think they will work mine did not at lest . I will look and see what kind of water pump I have then it will be easy for you to know what to get .

I use Sun Leaves Dura pumps SDH 220 290 GPH . If you get the same ones you will have no problem. They are only like $15 -$18 and work great !

Also is the tote 2ft x 2ft x 2ft an if so where in the hell did you find that at ?

LOL! Yeah sorry bout that 2x2x2. Hey I made it bro it was real easy thanks a million, Im excited now. Now can you help me with the cloning part? I was thinking of using rapid rooter plugs cuz once they root I was going to transplant into RW. So I do the cutting then put stem in the rooter plug, with the stem poking out and let the water spray the bottom of the stem? And should it be on a timer, and what is the timer should be on?. Hey I was also thinking of swtiching to aeroponics for my future flower plants. What you think of that? Cuz I want my roots to be spreaded out so they can grow more I heard the bigger the rootball the bigger the plants, and from the lil bit I know with aero is they are in net pots and the roots just hang out of the pot freely that sounds good what you think. Thanks bro hope all is well.

Cool glade I could help . Ya you could use the rapid rooter plugs they work great ,and you can ether put it in the plug with or with out the stem poking out its up to you it will work ether way . Yes it needs to be on a timer I do 30 min on 1 hr off when rooting . Ya it will work great if you do an all aero grow , if you do it I would use the same size net pots for the flower as you use for cloning so you can just pull them out off the clone tote and put in to the flower tote .

Not a problem glade to help. Ya all is good here just had a lot to do.

Do you have any pics of your plants ? I would like to see them .

Here is some of my CB @ 3 1/2 weeks form seed using CFL's and is in a bubble tote I made

I only do 30 min on 1 hr off it work best for me in the cloning part , I some times go to 30 min on 30 min off in veg and flower then at the last week or 2 I go back to 3o min on 1 hr off . The first time I grow with a hydro setup was my aero tote an I did a Lowryder 1 grow I grow 6 reg seeds and all 6 where female I had one that was about 4 ft tall it was nice . Also CB love hydro . I have 2 CB clones that I put in to start rooting 1 day ago so I will put pics up when they root .

Also make sure you only fell the tote 1/2 - 3/4 full of water and nutrients. I only do 1/2 full it work best for me.

Thanks .

Just smoke a big one for me and put some pics up of your plant when you get a chance.

You won't be doing this with nothing but a water pump and sprayers(call it what it is "aerospring" not aeroponic). Secondly a lot of totes out there leak like crazy around the lid. I found this out first hand. In my venture to find the perfect tote to make an aerospring unit that really worked well and didn't leak I looked at many and decided on one. It works very well . Its an 18 gallon off brand tote from home depot. Each unit is a one site unit, I couldn't even finish veg with 3 plants in the 37 gallon one so decided to go with individual units. You can see the tote in my journal at , feel free to leave comment there.
