Hello, I live in a area that gets very cold in winter and gets fairly hot in summer...how do i set up a proper ventilation system for my grow room so that A.) it is not letting in bugs and whatever else happens to pass in front of the intake. and B.) how do i cool the fairly hot air in the summer, and warm the very very cold air in the winter? wouldnt i just be sucking in 30 degree air and filling my grow room with it? is there such thing as a grow room so small you dont need ventilation? the cooling and warming of a room and how much fresh air i need are the only things im struggling with...

I use an a/c in the summer with a built-in thermostat connected to the same timer as the lights.

Winter temps I plug my vent fan into a thermostatic switch to keep temps at 76f. You can program the comfort level down to 1 degree. It's also used as a backup in case the a/c fails to start Newegg.com No tax, free shipping.

plugs right into another outlet

For the winter you could just use one of those little box heaters in the room. I think that's what most do on here. As for the summer, just keep your grow box in a room that has a/c. Or you could get an a/c unit just for the grow room. And for filter the intake, you can make your own filters or buy pre made ones. I use something like these http://www.walmart.com/ip/Honeywell-HRF-AP1-Universal-Carbon-Pre-Filter/16540033 on my intake holes. Or if you want to buy pre-made filters check out organic air filters

Same here, Can get nasty in the winter, the lights should produce SOME heat, I plan in using a space heater in a timer.
