how to deal with dealers

i have a semi-friend who i occasionally get weed and shrooms from. he recently tried to charge me $20 a gram for shrooms (said the guy/friend he was getting them from set the price). i told him i couldnt do that much, so he dropped it to $10. I suck at dealing with money, so i am not sure if he thinks he can just take me for all i'm worth. so i bought 3 grams from him and weighed it on a food scale, and it said ~2 grams or so, including the saran wrap around it. so i feel a little cheated here.

anyway, how do you guys stop from being cheated? you'd think since i hang with the guy, he would always try and get me the best price, but it seems like he doesnt. should i just stop buying from the guy, or just insist on paying certain prices? its hard for me to be a dick to people, and i also feel like he is doing me a favor, so i almost feel obligated to pay whatever he asks.

any suggestions on how you guys deal with situations like these?

Went through Junior and high school with my best friend, we were fucking good mates.
Then he started dealing and it all fell to shit, the prick smoked his profits and couldn't pay shit off and started asking for money etc.

anyway, at the point at hand..

you can't change the prices a dealer says so fuck it, he'll lose custom and realize how much of a penis he really is.

peace.

I don't deal, but dealing isn't a great lifestyle. Everybody expects you to drop everything to hook them up, everybody wants credit, everybody want to split a bowl with you now matter what you have going. Strangers show up - it can be nerve-wracking. Big downside, too, of getting busted.

Yeah, I think the prices were crazy, but I can't think of too many billionaires who got there dealing weed a dime at a time.

Thanks why its better if everybody grows their own!

Didn't say they couldn't. Just a constant stream of folks who could term out to be LEO is not a zero stress environment.

If you are dealing and you aren't paranoid, well then you aren't dealing.

Fucking A right. Right about all of it (even what I didn't quote).

So, here's the deal with some dealers and go-betweens (cuz that's what your friend is really saying he is). If the go-between isn't getting any kick down from the main guy, he's gonna get a kick-down somehow. Either he's gonna pinch off every bag so he gets something out of it, or he's gonna charge you a little more. He wants something for his time and energy, and since he's not the main goo goo, he can only bump up the price so much.

Depending on the person, sometimes I would straight out ask, "What are you getting out of this?" Other times, I'd just pinch from my bag and hand it to them, a finder's fee, something for their time you see, yeah?

If this person is acting the mule between you and the main dealer, then he's taking a risk and should get something for his time. If you know him well, ask him how the dealer's taking care of him.
