How to dry dense nugs??

I've never grown flowers this dense.
These are some pics of my tops. The others are in a hanging multi level screen basket, in the tent drying. I spent a day and a half trimming.

For buds this thick is it okay just to trim them and hang them like I did? Humidity is about 50% and temps range form 65 to 75F.

I am concerned if whether or not they will dry properly being so thick.
It's a nice problem to have.

very nice buds man, congrats on a great job.

This might sound like a loopy request, but can you leave one of those buds hanging for a couple, maybe 3 days, until they get dry and crispy on the outside but not fully dry, then stick it in your freezer fully exposed to the air for like 3 weeks, then take it out, let come to room temperature, stick in a sealed jar for a day, then take it out and note the results before and after you smoke it, and report back here what the results were?

I read up on freeze drying recently. I've done it with a small branch, I stuck it in the freezer for a day. it think it did make some difference.

so since you have fresh buds, if you can try one, I'm sure i won't be the only one interested in your results.

those are nice , good job.
they are not overly huge enough to cause issue if.....
dont leave this step to luck, dont risk mold.

read jorge cervantes grow bible, drying section. proper rh, air movement, and temperature will dry all your buds properly every time.
I dedicated a 2x4 tent with a dehuey, air, stink sock, in a ac/heated room. I can count on the results every time since.I dry in hanging basket racks with no issue no guessing no risk

He says...65F-75F and humidity 45-55%.

once they are nice and crispy, say 6-7 days hanging. feeling pretty dry, put them in a plastic bag, seal it up for 8 hours. recheck the buds, this should have sweated the inner moisture back to the surface. leave them out to dry for a few hours. repeat or jar depending on moisture content.

jorge says drying in his control settings, your mj will be ready to use or ready to begin your personal curing if desired....when the stems snap
I've never found any patient that preferred it any more than another week or two older, most
beg for that first snapped twig after a week of drying. Hardly ever sees a jar here until I run out of room in a tray.
I admit some strains(my star chem) does like to be sweated for a little bit then dried to use. but the rest are superb when the snap is heard for us

Oh those will mold unless you speed things up a little with added heat, like 100 F inside a closet or box.

exquisitely.
if it didnt work perfectly we'd have found another technique
perfection is acceptable
Is your "cured" weed green? If so, it's really just dried weed, not cured in the sense of curing tobacco. Firstly I would manicure those big buds down so they won't mold from being bunched together on a stalk. First you manicure then you cure and dry. What many people are doing is drying first then manicuring, and of course not curing at all, just aging after drying. Why would you try to dry buds on a big stalk?

It depends really, on strain. some of my mj is dries red, some brown, some green, some orange hair covered too. If I left it out in the rain and sun like the mexicans did it would turn a dirty brown, like all the schwag from yesteryear. I do exactly as my patients wish me to. If they said "I want 3 month old cured weed" I'd tell them to find another cg. Laws dont allow me to keep buds around. I only keep patients that love what I do, so I keep doing it the way they tell me to. I'm not in the garden to be right. I do trim my buds from the stick before I dry. thats the last time I trim them. I dont grow tobacco, I dont over feed, matter of fact my nutrients are tapered to water at finish. NO excess nutrients to ferment away. I wouldnt have it any other way, and dont.
but my way sucks, I learned it from jorge, it wont work for anyone else, dont try it, its our secret, me and jorge

if you're worried
I decided to cut up colas like this. I cut it into three pieces and gently opened the pieces up to allow more air in.
I feel better about doing this as humidity is on the rise with this rainy weather I'm having.

about humidity maybe put a dehuey in there?
also, sticks will hold water longer than flowers.
they look great

The humidity is a good thing. The weed will dry slower and therefore more evenly. Dry air causes the outer surfaces to dry too fast, sealing in moisture. It's a very common mistake.

I thought about it but I had time constraints unfortunately. The trichomes were overwhelmingly cloudy.
I found a couple of seeds while trimming. A sneaky hermie so maybe it's best I put an end to it.
Thank goodness not loaded with seeds.
I watched them pretty carefully so I'm not sure how it got by me.
Thanks for the props!
