Hello everyone, just harvested:bigjoint: anyway... had a little problem with spider mites along the way.. not sure if i already had them or if they came from the soil I transplanted in or what ever but I really want to eliminate them for future grows to come..

they weren't too bad seeing as it was only one small plant and i was spraying with organic soap/water mix.. it helped eliminate them. but i've read they are a pain to truly get rid of.

I plan on wiping my whole grow area down w/ the soapy water and maybe vinegar/neem oil.
ALSO, I was thinking of going to the local hydro store to find an organic pest bomb to let off in the house. i have one made by raid but I'm not sure if I'm down with it just because of all the chemicals..

You think this will get rid of them for the future? or what else should I be doing to fight these little fkers?

wash the walls, pots, reflectors, mylar, crack in the floor and the corners, then bugspray, then change you soil, this should get rid of everything

so a nice cleaning should really prevent them from coming back? sweet because, i've heard it was going to be a bitch with the chance that if i grow here anymore they are bound to return.

he dosen't want to die................or do u?
no but the bleach solution (1 cup to a gallon of water) should kill the spidermites while rendering seeds infertile also

I heard you could let a cigar burn near your plant so the smoke hits it and that'll get them.. you can also make a tobacco tea for them... potent stuff

The best thing to use is neem oil. It's natural, organic and safe to use. I am currently using Gardensafe by Schultz..it's a fungicide, pesticide and miticide in one. Works like a charm!

wash teh pots and grow area down with bleach+water and if you have carpet on the floor either shampoo it or take it out and put tile or w/e down but if you keep with carpet then you might have to shampoo the carpes maybe once every month or 2 to make sure there isn't any mites or w/e also if you can grow diffrent kinds of mint and garlic that will help repell bugs naturaly

If i get mites, i use a product called FLORMITE SC 329.00 USD a quart, our local shops sell 2 OZ for 29.95

7 drops per gallon on veggin plants last 29 days.

Never use on plants 30 days from harvest or on fruits.

This product is very very strong with long residual. Nowever if you spray it all the are gone.......

GONE.........
