How to grow short but fat plants?

Last year had an issue where my plant grew really tall and spread out. Wondering how I can prevent this from happening. Do I plant the seed deeper or wait to get a few inches and transplant deeper?

Any advice helps. Thanks

well you can do what im doing which is growing an indica (grows short and bushy) and/or do the 12/12 from seed method which gives u bud quick and fast and still pretty good quality and the best thing is, it stays wicked small.

You need intense light (or get them floros as close as possible 2-3 inches max) and flowing early helps, plants always at least double their size when they go 12/12. Don't be afraid to tie 'em down if they start getting taller than you want either.

stick to indica for generically shorter plants. and if you fim, top, or super crop they will stay smaller also.

You should either Super Crop or FIM. They will both make the lower branches bush out and slow the top down. If you are looking for small single cola plants for sog then you can cut small clones from a mother plants and flower them when they first root. Hope that helps:eyesmoke:
