How to hang my digital ballast?

I just switched from my old school ballast to my new digital ballast and I need to hang it. Does anyone know anywhere online I can buy a light rack or hanger or how I even search for that? I would love a stand I can hang it from but every time I try to search for something like that it dont bring up what I need..Or if anyone know some good options for me? I need to get this light hung within a week.

I think your over thinking this ... either way

If it’s a remote ballast , just put a couple screws in the wall n hang it , or a couple hooks. If it’s a unit like a Gavita , just use hooks on the ceiling, if the height isn’t right , use light yoyo’s

I want to hang it without putting hooks in the ceiling..so I wanted to get something to hang it from like the light racks you can get for t5s...is there anything like that for digital ballast with reflectors?

You can buy tables with light hanging racks, or you could make or get something custom made.


If your worried about placement and hitting studs , you could cover the ceiling in 1/2 plywood, then cover it with panda or paint it. then hang anything anywhere.

Thanks yeah I really wamt something like that where ot jist hangs from a pole or pipe over top..like one of those. Just didnt know of somewhere sold fixtures like that. Kind of like what u hang it from in a grow tent. Minus the tent and the pieces..part of the fram work hah

Why mount it inside the tent? It just adds heat. I'd probably just screw it on the wall outside the tent and slid the cord into the hood thru one of the vent ports.

Know what a pedal board is? Just use a small piece of plywood or 1" X 8" and put screws in to hang it. Off the floor and not under anything that might get wet.

Secret Jardin sells ballast support hangers on their site,under accessories. I am thinking of just laying a 3 foot piece of wire rack on top of my tent and setting the ballast on top of that. The heat will rise upwards and the ballast will be safely out of the way. I also like the plywood idea. Anyhow, here is a picture of the Secret Jardin ballast support, it looks like they are made to sit on top of tent.
