How to Hardend plants from inside to outside

Hey guys I have a quick question. I have been growing for a couple years now. I live in Texas, And I want to harden my plants before they go outside.
I have a large number of plants about 3 weeks old under a 400 MH and 600 HPS about 16 to 20 inches tall. But my question is if they are under 24 hours of light a day wouldn't they flower as soon as I stick them outside? I have done it in the past with mixed results. I once stuck about 20 clones outside and they just flowered out in spring. Do I need to ease the hours down in my veg room? And I moms in my veg room that all they every seen is 24 hours of light a day..

if you put plants out before the days are long enough (I put them out around late april) you shouldn't have that problem of flowering too soon. If you put them out during march or early april, you have put them in a virtual 12/12 lighting schedule and they will go through the normal flowering process and will be ready at the end of may to early june. Many people growing in not pure "winter" environments use the march-may window to flower plants. (But the plants don't grow very much during that time outside because the weather is still kind of cold. However, they do flower.)

Putting your plants out in late april or early may gives the clone/plant vegging time; it grows like any other spring plant and begins flowering as the days begin getting shorter after the 21st of June. Then they will be ready in September or early October. Sometimes earlier, depending on the strain.

To harden off my clones for outside, I simply bring them up and stick them outside during the day and early evening for two weeks before I plant them in the soil. the changing ambient temps do the trick and they get hearty and do well in soil when transplanted.

Good luck.

WoW good answer. But id like to add around here you got to harden from the wind an sun. The wind it more dangerous than deer an rabbits. Put a big fan on em to harden the stem an dont put em out tell the stem looks like a pencil in diamator.

An for the sun u start em out b a few hrs a day in the shade tell they are out all day. Then put em in the sun a few hrs an work em up to full daylight.

But once they got a stem like a pencil the sun dosent usualy hurt em much as long as they dont go dry.
