HOW TO KILL SPIDER MITES 100%: " Naturally - no chemicals"

I have a question. My humidity is around 33-36 with the lights on but at night it goes as high as 70+ some times. With it only being at night that it gets high will I get bud rot or mildew? I have really good ventilation and a good amount of wind blowing around and past my girls but the nugs are so fat I'm getting worried

I wouldn't be too worried if like you say your ventilation is good then your fine. I find in most things we tend to over think it.

Yep, brix is sugar content in the plant. Getting the brix of your plant higher is really just improving the overall health...I say some of the key players are Humic Acid, and Amino Acids. These make nutrients available while feeding microbes.

For a newbie, I say mighty wash or even just rubbing your girls down can get a lot of them... rubbing really only works if you have one or two plants. Key is always to kill the mites and the eggs in order to break the cycle.

I love this post. Thank You calibuzz! I was looking for a natural cure! I started my crop with infected clones from a aquaintance that never had bugs he claimed haha ya right that's what they all say! I didn't realize it until the 4th wk. After trashing 2 that had webs down low I went crazy cleaning I trimmed and cleaned what i could see. I started out spraying every other day for 3 sprays water inbetween then went hard with spraying right b4 the light went off for 7 days straight. Plants loved it! I waited 2days and completley cleaned everything bleached the floors outsides of pots wiped down with bleach etc! After everything was completley cleaned I added diatomaceous earth on the floor all around the walls and doors. Entry ways all around my trays on the top of the soil and also on the outside of the pots. I blow the diatomaceous earth on my veg plants but not while in flower. I recommend putting it right outside the grow room so you walk through it and don't contaminate your room with anything on your feet it's messy if you get it wet but if you keep it contained in areas on the floor that are clean it's just dust and it won't go anywhere unless u have a fan blow on the floor. Your room should be very clean no matter what if you have diatomaceous earth on a clean floor in a clean room it will only benefit the grow. It will kill any bug that attempts walking in.
I sprayed with mighty wash once while in veg (it is also a natural wash). Only because its recommended using three different types of pesticides or miticides. Me personally I don't like using any of those I only want natural cures hopefully more people will take this route so that we smoke less chemicals along the way! I won't be smoking anything that isnt mine anyhow! The habeneros were good to my girls!

So my girls arw like 3 weeks from harvest and i have noticed my mite problems are getting worse the ladybugs do nothing but fuck and stay on the sides of my pots. My question is should i just harvest or let it go. I am sure i have smoked thousands of mites in my 20 years of smoking, so im not really worried about that. Any advice is really appreciated. I don't know what to do

Spray them with habenero pepper spray 3 days in a row right b4 lights out then follow up with spraying water at least 2wks b4 harvest. To eliminate the pepper taste on buds. If you cant handle habeneros get some mighty wash. It can be used during flower. Fight those bastards chances are if you have bugs now and don't get rid of them completely your next harvest will have them too make sure you bleach pots bleach floors bleach walls.No joke. I recommend placing diatomaceous earth on top of potss all around grow rooms entryways everywhere. If your room is clean your plants should b too.

I'm no pro,I've done lots of research recently on this subject because I had a mite problem also I got it early right towards the end of my veg cycle and I treated for 2 weeks every 3 days with organocide and it smells nasty like fish but it did the trick because I used it properly every 3 days. but afterlife of the fish smell last for three to four more weeks so I would not recommend it this close to harvest even though it says it is safe to use directly up until harvest I still would not recommend it unless you like bud that smell like a bait and tacklebox.from my experience and again this is only my personal opinion not something that I'm a professional with, but if you're diligent and have good air circulation and completely shake all the water off of your plants and have fans blowing directly on them to prevent mold,a good spray down in the shower with clean water a little on the colder side definitely keeps their numbers at bay and if you can do it in the shower where they all fall and go down the drain would be the best.use plastic bags and place them over your medium so that they don't fall down into the soil and give them a good spray down and then shake the girls out and shake all the water off of them before putting them back under your light that will definitely diminish their numbers and buy you some more time.but again I strongly put emphasis on having good air flow over your buds and not to spray the actual buds too hard as to not damage the trichs.they can handle a good amount of water especially if you have a couple of weeks left because plants are used to being rained on in nature so water won't damage the trichs too much unless you are hitting it with a power washer nozzle.spray from the bottom up because they like to hide under the leaves and they don't attach themselves to strongly because just shaking the plant can knock them off. the point is to get them off and down the drain so they don't just climb right back up.also when you chop them and hang them upside down for some reason spider mites do not like to be upside down so they all congregate to the top of the stem, so if you put sticky tape backwards on the top up by where you hang them from they will all climb up there and most of them will get stuck to the sticky tape.

I never understood when a grower has mites that he will try any witchcraft brew to get rid of them...
i find there is no time to waste the best mite killer i found is Bug B gone sold pretty much everywhere , I don't give shit if its chemical made as long as it kills them period ..
Now one must ask how did they get mites to begin with ???
and this starts at the very beginning of your grow clones usually purchased and infected
When ever dealing with clones YOU HAVE TO QUARANTINE THEM ad keep them away from your other plants ..
with that said treating precautions should of started right at the beginning of your grow
I am a firm believer of not spraying plants you just never get them all from having mites no matter what they will come back specially late in flower when your fucked ...
So forget about spraying plants..
With clones and smaller plants up to 5 gallon pots i found te best way to rid them mites 100 percent of the time is by dunking plants into a solution
Make a 50 gallon drum or a big pail of solution place your hand on your soil with stem inbetween your fingers carefully tip plant upside down and dunk it in solution moving it up n down right up to your hand then place plant in a different room with no lights repeat until all plants have been done ..
Now comes the fun part take down your lights with bleach wash everything walls floors ceilings , EVERYTHING
Now what i do is use a sprayer and spray outside of pots and top of soil bottom of pots and place back in room ..
repeat everything 4 days later and your mites are 100 percent dead if your plants are fairly big use a string to tie it up a bit before dunking remember tip plant over and dunk your hand is holding soil and stem
Remember to treat all plants / clones you recieve as contaminated mite infested plant
Keep your room clean at all times.. and do not have people or friends that grow come into your room they can have mites on there clothing

The hippy tree hugging movement has a lot to answer for
those guys will recommend spraying skimmed milk on plants for PM

1 atomizer (fog sprayer)
Pyrethrum for spidermites
systhane (myclobutanil) for PM

can buy these from any regular garden store

last time i saw a spider mite was about 5 years ago when i put a spare plant in some soil
previous to this i have not seen spider mites for about 12 years, no reason to see them indoor in hyrdro at all unless folk are a bit sloppy and untidy

Yeah i just never understood the witch craft brew to get rid of mites ,, people need them gone now not sit in there knees and pray for some miracle i have sprayed n sprayed till the cows came home only to see that web forming 5 -6 week of flower . The true way is dunking plant so all of plant is submerged this way you know every surface has been done you miss one spot spraying in 2 weeks you got 1000's of mites reproducing
i have not seen mites either in years but its house keeping and taking new clones and i do not give a shit from a trusted source or not there in quarantine and treated..
anyone that gets mites really deserves them cause its one of the first things a grower should be addressing so if you skipped that part then may the mites infest your gardens for years to come you deserve it

You can't beat these foggers, but they do require an initial investment
they will cover the surface of the plant and the room too, without getting everything too wet




dunking would be more suitable for folk growing small plants that are easy to move

I'm using predatory mites to kill my spider mite problem. I just put them in the garden, so I'll report back on how they work out. So far, they are rapidly killing the mites. The predator mites can be seen in the upper right:

One thing to be aware of is that predatory mites are smart enough to not eat themselves out of house and home! They will essentially push all the food into one area and farm them... in other words they will not eat all the food in order to preserve their existence.

In turn it is very unlikely that they will fully address your problem...

My understanding was that they will eat the mites and leave in search of new mites. Never heard of this farming activity though.... Any sources for this that I can read?

I have heard same but it is not until they they have done everything possible to maintain which may be more time then you are willing to wait

I haven't been able to find any mites for a few days now, so it looks like I solved the spider mite problem with no sprays or chemicals (hopefully, haha)
