How to know what your daylight hours are.....

Im noticing some of my outdoor starting to throw hairs and decided to look into what my daylight hours are for my region.
www.timeanddate.com is awesome

15hours 16minutes 03 seconds for my region in New England for July 12th 2010

Thirty days from today on August 12th

14hours 9 minutes 56 seconds

Site also tells you when sun is at full height

hopefully you guys know that site in somewhat meaningless since im guessing you are looking for when 12 hours set in. outdoor plants can flower anywhere from 14 hours to 10. 12/12 is for indoor plants

that's why I got lights on mine until midnight.That shit is not going off until Aug 15th

Im aware that it'll happen whenever the plant is ready, not necessarily "12/12" but for the few of us that closely monitor specific strains, its a great way to see a. when the strain will actually start flowering b. what the plant performs best under on an hour to hour comparison through out the outdoor season. The reason I looked is because I have many going into flower now. (throwing hairs) It looks as though ill be at a "true12/12" Sept 25th and as low as 10 hrs 15 minutes on Oct 31st.

lol true that @ antny and growithleds im tryin to say 12/12 doesnt matter for outdoor plants. whether its septmber 25th or august 25th your plant isnt goin to wait for that 12/12 and as to checking when the strain is gonna flower. i can do a better job by looking at my plant than going by what sites are goin to tell you about the sun. look around. you are bound to find 10 sites that say different times than the site thats posted on here.

i started a thread about that a few weeks ago but no one gave a fuck! the light at dawn and dusk is UNUSABLE light so to a plant, they are already at "true 12/12". the plants "night cycle" actually starts an hour or two before the sun completely sets.

zzzzzzzzzzzz! lol! I know , i know....I was just trying to show peeps what theyre actually getting for hours of useable light.

I do however disagree that dusk and dawn sunlight have no affect on flowering.
A photo period is a photo period and photons are evident to the plant even in a low light situation.
If "dusk or dawn" had no affect on plants< then why do light dep?

but if dusk dawn mattered than whoever thinks it matters is gonna be surprised when they have a male or female weeks earlier than they thought or worse yet later depending on how stupid the person is. and he was right the night cycle on a plant starts a bit before the sun completely rises and it goes into night cycle before the daylight is compltely gone therefore you know for a fact you cant judge it based on dusk dawn cause you are hours off. take a couple hours off (times) weeks of thinkin you are right which equals a very wrong person =)

and i have yet to see why someone would need to look on that site? whether you know exacly when the plant goes into day/night cycles whats it matter? you still have to know when outdoor marijuana plants flower. which is one thing i said. most people think they have to wait till 12/12

the sun its too low at those times to actually effect the plants. the only light they are getting is the reflection off the sky.

feel free to disagree but if there were no truth to it, plants wouldnt flower until september 21st at true 12/12.
