Hey all, thought I would share this with anyone who is maybe new or just never thought of it. It's how to make a vape out of pretty standard home items and can be assembled in about 30 minutes if you have all the bits.
Always proceed at your own pace and hope someone gets some enjoyment from it
ITEMS REQUIRED (FEEL FREE TO IMPROVISE):
· 8 CIRCULAR FILE (SMALL DIAMETER)
· BLUNT KNIFE (LIKE A BUTTER KNIFE)
· HEAT-RESISTANT DUCT TAPE (OR SIMILAR)
· 5 HARD PLASTIC ELBOW TUBE (CLEAR) 3/8in DIAMETER
· 4 3/8in FLEXIBLE TUBING (CLEAR)
· 100watt + TRADITIONAL INDOOR LIGHTBULB (CLEAR NO WHITE OR OTHER COLORS)
· ½ CUP OF SALT
· (1) DARK COLORED DISH TOWEL
· (1) PLASTIC ONE-LITER BOTTLE
· A FEW BRAIN CELLS J

· FIRST YOU SHOULD LOOK AT THE PHOTO OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT. THIS WILL ANSWER A LOT OF YOUR QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU THINK OF THEM
· First off I have to tell you that I will be in no way liable for any injuries or damages this project may cause. If the bulb you have contains ANY amount of mercury DO NOT USE IT! Most normal bulbs do not, but some fool is going to try to use a 80 year old bulb or something gotta cover my ass.
· Next step is to remember this is a glass bulb youre taking apart. Be careful and go slooooowly. Next you are going to wrap the glass end with the towel and then use the butter knife to pry the small metal tip off the metal end of the bulb. Its kinda flat so pry the tip off and youre also going to be removing some copper wire. I am not telling you to remove the silver threaded part of the bulb!
· Now to break some glass on purpose! Tap the black glass end of the bulb lightly and gradually increase the intensity until the glass starts to break up. Just the black glass any clear glass and its time to start over.
· Now you will see the clear inverted glass in the center that holds the body of the filament. Use the tip of the file to tap the center until it breaks. Once this happens remove the small glass shards and discard them. Now probe the inside of the actual filament and once it is in (roughly) half way, tilt the file to the side to make the interior glass tube break off. Continue to break the remaining glass around the base and then remove the glass pieces from inside the bulb.
· Now pour the salt in to the bulb and cap the open hole with your finger. Now shake the hell out of it! This will scour the inside and remove any remaining glass particles. Once you grow bored of this, shake all the salt out onto a slug of some kind or just into the garbage, your choice!
· Now you are going to grab that plastic bottle and cut the top 1/3 off the bottles base. See how well it fits to the metal end of the bulb. It should go on a little snug or something as close as possible to the neck of the bulb. Use the heat resistant tape to widen the diameter of the bulb neck if needed. You can use the tape to attach the bottle neck to the bulb. Dont get tape too far past the plastics edge where it meets the glass.
· (Go look at the photo. Hows it looking compared to the picture?)
· You are now going to make a hole in the bottle cap. Make the hole large enough for the plastic elbow to pass through it snuggly. It should not slide without some effort. The hole should be just a touch off-center. Above the larger hole you will also make a small breather valve hole.
· Attach the elbow and then the flexible tube to the elbow. Cut it to whatever length you like.
· Youre done! Grab some medicinal herbs and give it a try!
A few hints on using the vaporizer:
Move the flame around as you heat the glass do not keep it in one spot for too long or youll burn the stuff inside.
Keep the flame off the glass so you dont over-heat the stuff inside. Hold it so the flame is about ½ inch from the glass if possible.
For cleaning the inside after use, try some salt and water and shake the bottle to clean the glass and remove any leftover residue. To remove the remaining moisture you can apply more heat to the glass while holding it with the opening upwards. The water will vaporize and come out the top.
The photo attached is what you should end up with. The heat resistant glass will withstand a lot of heat, but expect that the tape may have to be replaced periodically. Always clean the tubing and inside the bulb after a few uses and itll stay looking nice!
