Take a look at this instruction sheet. It lists the various micron sizes.I have been trying to figure out what the silk sreen is rated at in the video. The only discription is "its the same one used for printing t-shirts". I wish he would have told what micron rating it was... IE 165mc or 125 microns or what ever.
Anyone know what the right rating is for the proper silk screen? I have been looking at bubble bags but there are really expensive. Even the stamps and presses on e-bay are freaking way over priced.
you are very welcome, hope you get some kick ass hash!
You know.....another thing you can do, and is very easy to do, is make hash oil.
take your dry clippings, and/or male plants, make sure its dry, place em into the blender, add some isopropyl alcohol. Just enough to wet the plant matter. I use 91% but get whatever is available in your area, some areas have 99%. whichever, they are both cheap.
Run your blender for a couple of minutes, than get a coffee filter, and pour the mixture into the filter, hold over a bowl, you may need to "squeeze the mixture" to get everything out of it. Be careful at this point, you dont want to rip the filter, or have any of the mixture run over the top.
Than just put the bowl aside and wait for the iso to evaporate, usually about 24 hours, if you want to hurry it along, you could place it near a space heater, blowing on it. But you better keep an eye on it.
its a good way to make oil, but isopropyl alcohol is a damn fire hazard, it inflames easier then ethanol and almost as good as ether! so watch out doing the extraction, do it outsides only and keep an extinguisher handy!!you are very welcome, hope you get some kick ass hash!

a friend of mine scorched his mixer trying to make oil, so be warned burned his deck and hot tub for a little oil
that is true video, and i personally would let the oil dry on me if i use iso, that stuff is on the watch list for causing cancer, at work we only use it in a ventilated chamber... so whatever, watch out with that stuff or we end up looking like meaths-labWhile what you say is very true! The main reason I like this method is it does not utilize an oven or stovetop, like alot of other methods, it relies on the iso to evaporate naturally.
Having said that, I am lazy and cheap, so I found to improve on this method, you can add a little kief, or if you dont have any, use some of the clippings you made the oil from to the oil before the iso evaporates. As the oil dries the oil will adhere to the clippings, forming a black hash.
This has several benefits, one if you are keeping it, its much easier to deal with and smoke, and (two) if you are into it for a profit, I find it much easier to sell black hash than oil. You could make a small fortune from black hash, before you even sell your 1st oz of bud from your grow. We need to utilize everything and this is simple to do, with a zero investment.
